Toesday and Prinnie has the poops

Caesar:
Here is me and my toes, and my sweet goodboy face.

Guess what?
Prinnie has to go to the vetlady today. She has had a sick tummy and some drippy poops, so mommie said she has to go to the vetlady because she is 16, and drippy poops are not good when you are 16.
Poooooor Prinnie.

I am so glad I do not have to go to the vetlady... sheeesh
I hope Prinnie is brave and does not scream herself hoarse or get jabbed or poked.
I hope she does not suffer... my poor kitttttie sister
:::::sh-shivers::::::
I am really glad it is not me....

have a very happy day everycat!

MANCAT MONDAY & Dragonheart gave us a cool awardie

Caesar:
I know it. I am such a mantiger.

Just doing my daily patrols.
One sunny patch at a time...

Dragonheart honored us with this wonderful awardie
This is really... really such an honor.
We are caring bloggers!
Well, we would honor him right back but he was already given this prestigious award. Wow.

The Caring Cat Blogger Award is for cats who demonstrate caring and compassion for others. We are deeply honored. We will display this award proudly!

We can think of several kitties that deserve this award, atleast 20.

Princess and I spent the entire week-end ThinKing and thinking and THiNKING of who we should select for this awardie, and we came up with so many names. So we wrote the names of the kitties that came instantly to mind, and put those names in a "hat" and mixed them all up, and Blizzie reached inside and selected....

We Are The Schmmooooozers

Yes, yeppie we are!
Daisy nominated us for this award and we gladly and proudly accept it.
Princess:

“As it goes, schmoozing is the natural ability 'to converse casually, especially in order to gain an advantage or make a social connection.' Good schmoozers effortlessly weave their way in and out of the blogosphere, leaving friendly trails and smiles, happily making new friends along the way. They don’t limit their visits to only the rich and successful, but spend some time to say hello to new blogs as well. They are the ones who engage others in meaningful conversations, refusing to let it end at a mere hello - all the while fostering a sense of closeness and friendship."

  • Each recipient is to post the badge on their site with a link to their post and bestow the award upon five bloggers.

We love every kitty blogger because there is love and kindness and friendship and joy here in Bloggieland. We believe that every cat is amazing. In exchange for a little bit of attention and love we get from our wonderful beans, we give freely and unconditionally (well... most of the time) Encouragement, Hope, Purrs and Happiness everyday... just by being the adorable and cute tiny tigers that we are! How easy is that? WE have been doing it for 16 years.. we are so good, we can do it in our sleep, hahahahaha meaow haha meow meow

Here are 5 kitties that we believe deserve this awardie:

Dragonheart: This boy was easy. He and his mommie were the first ones to pounce over here and give us information about CRF, when Caesar got the big diagnosis. It is so wonderful when beans and kitties come out of nowhere and pick you up, and point where to go.
He of course is such a
little guy awwww, sooo cute and tiny. When we read his bloggie he helps us remember every thing we did, every crazy idea we had, when we were kit-tens. We were very very wild and busy... very busy. Dragonheart loves his mommie and daddie and tells us about them and the places they go.. with out him. Dragonheart is a friend to all.

Bogdan: He just tells things as they are. The truth and the whole truth. We like that. He is a great friend and he cares about other kitties. He shares in fallibilities as well. How humble. He is a funny fellow too!

BenFuzzkins: This little fuzzbert has had a huge task. We admire how he scooped his mommie up into his heart... That meant, we will carry on, mommie. We can do this together! We love you BenFuzz.

Oh this is such a difficult task to just pick 5. Can we please just pick a hundred kitties??? Please????????? Okay... well, last but not the least:

Miles and Sammy: They are two of the cutest meezer brothers ever. They make us laugh and they are also a lot like Caesar and I were when we were kit-tens. Working as a team. we like that, it confuses the bean big time, they however also share their concern for the sweet kitty friends here and there. They are always happy and enthusiatic!

So many choices... these meme's and awardies make us crazy. We have to wrack our brains!!

Happy Snappy Thursday!! Go out and attack the day!
well, we are anyway...

Peaches Peaches Peaches

mmmm yummmmy
can I have a taste?

You think eating peaches is icky?
Well.... how about peach pie?
Here is a recipe for my mommie's Peach Cobbler
Ingredients:
~1/2 cup white sugar

~1 and 1/2 sticks (so that would be 3/4 cup... as 8 tblsp are 1/2 cup=1 stick) of butter or margarine

~About 2 cups of Self Rising Flour

~1 medium egg

~A whole lot of peaches... say, at least, about 9 medium size
~for peaches in the bowl: another half cup sugar, cinnamon and Instant Vanilla Pudding (Such as Jello instant package, in it's dry state, right out of the package)
~a 9x9 square pyrex dish or something similar do not grease it
~Preheat oven to 325 degrees

Preparation:
~cut up the peaches into nice chunks not slices. 1 inch squares, bite size... keep the skin on.

~Put the peaches in a medium size bowl and set aside...

~In a nice big bowl, mix together the butter and sugar until creamy then add the egg, mix.

~Add flour a little at a time, keep mixing in more until (it feels like firm playdoh) you can handle it with floured fingers. (these are Blizzie's piano hands)

~take about 1/5 of the dough off and save on a dry plate. (keep the flour out, you will need it)

~Press the rest of the dough evenly into the 9x9 dish.
~Set that aside

~dump the pile of peaches into the big bowl that you mixed the dough in,
~to the bowl of peaches, sprinkle 1/2 cup sugar and two Tablespoons Instant vanilla pudding, then toss gently with a spoon to sort of get them coated.

~Dump the peaches into the dish. Spread them around, if it is too high then use your hands and gently smash the peaches down so they are nice and cozy, esp the corners. If you have way too many and they are falling out... give them to hubby to eat (guys never eat enough fruit)... you don't want the peaches falling out of the dish.

~Sprinkle with cinnamon, a
s much as you like.
~Divide the left over dough into 6 balls, then with flour make some strips, don't try to get fancy, just kind of roll and mold something, flatten and lay it across the top. Use flour for easier handling. You should be able to get 3 going each way. Don’t bother weaving, the “weaving police” never show up for peach cobblers. Besides, if they do, the peachy cinnamon aroma will over whelm them.

~
BAKE for 50 minutes.
let cool one hour before eating.
Refrigerate leftovers.

My mommie wrote this recipe so if your beans have questions about it, then just let them ask in the comments section here :-)

Today is going to be a great day!

Being tough Tuesday

Caesar:

I am really sick and tired -- I mean completely bored with these subq's.

Every day: .... mommie, hovers with that stupid bag wrapped in foil (to protect the contents from sunlight). She is always aware of my location and it's possibilities... to hang that dumb bag!
Then... stab/ow/sit still.
It has gotten to the point that when I see mommie... I quietly vacate the premises.

can't you see I am busy now?

no-no mommie...take that away please...

NOW, she brings the bowl, a spoon, and my favvvverite baby foods... she sets the whole deal next to me, hangs that stoopit bag up (it is on a hanger) and forces me to sit and stare at the bowl and the jar of the most yummy meat-goo ever, and the spoon... so, I see the reward.

Today... the same. I know I will get the stabbing... and the reward, sometime between 1:00 and 5:00. Mommie is very goal oriented (a retired RN too). Her new plan is working.

Have a happy Tuesday
headbutts from the braveboy.

4. buy a big piece of property with a lake and views and open a cat shelter, complete with baby goats and gardens and a small indoor ice rink and swimming pool and exercise room for cats and beans!

Rockin' Kitties SUNDAY

Thank you Rosie and Latte for these wonderful awards!
We are very honored to have them... we are sixteen and hardly feel like we are "rockin" but we are thrilled that our friends think we are! That makes us feel really happy.
okay, so maybe even Rockin' Happy!

We need to pick five rockin boy kitties and five rockin girl kitties.
Well, this is extremely difficult for us! We are too old for such tasks!!!

okay Okay....

Prinnie's five girl pics are

  • The other @-->--Rosie: She is sweet and very pretty
  • Sophia diva Kitty: she is such a cool rockin girl. she has music on her bloggie and lives with two cute sweet bunnies! She puts her kittie scent on all of the wonderful snuggles her mommie knits!
  • Kat3 because she is feisty and smart!
  • Pixie: she eats bananers and her fur is pretty. We love when she gets to blog on Daisy's blog!
  • and Luna: she is adventurous and brave to go outside on her own.

There are many more girls we could pick, but we should only pick five....

here are my Rockin five boykitties

  • BeauBeau: a great brother, and a happy playful guy
  • Ernest and Fritz: the cool boys, always using their brains and in control of their feeders
  • George: he is so good looking and mancatly too
  • Bogdan: This guy is a great reporter and he is just plain snazzy! I like his French beret hat.

Again, waaaay too many amazing choices.

We think all of our friends are rockin' cool!

Happy Day Kitties!

Happy Frootbat Friday

Princess:

uppie-date on the girl beans: Chrystabelle got the job. It is such a cool job. I wish I could tell you about it but I do not know anything about jobs.
Blizzie... she had to call the grocery store back and find out since the manager never called her back... and she got her stupid cashier job. Mommie and I are not happy. We did not want her to have a job. But it will be okay. She will have fun, and maybe she can bring home a cake now and then.
They both have to go to the mall and get big girl working clothes... especially Chrystabelle.

Daddie already has a job... and mommie works for free.

Here are two screen shots from video-chat last night with gramma and grampa.
Caesar did join in for a while, but the beans did not get a picture of him in the groop.
The first picture here is gramma untangling grampa's foot from the wires
We think his foot was tangled in the speaker wires or something.
Gramma and grampa have a macBook too.

Then, this screenshot, grampa is telling us about the guys coming out and fixing their airconditioning system and other things like service contracts.
As you can see, gramma was sort of bored so she was looking around the room...

What else is new.... lately, Caesar has been stubborn about his subQ fluid treatments. When he sees mommie setting up the bag and the line... he quietly moves to another location... but mommie loves him to pieces and after a while, she gets her way. Still, it is good to see him be actually grumpy about getting the fluids.
Then again, he is still better than me... no one, not even mommie is going to give me those treatments... maybe later. Mommie told the vetlady on me, and the vetlady said to just wait.

We hope everycat has the very best week-end ever!

What we see
depends mainly
on what we look for.

Recovery day

Caesar:

Well, this is an olde picture of me, from this past Tuesday... today is actually very drabb and dreary... and it looks like it might rain all day.
Yesterday was a very noisy day here. Several types of fireworks are legal here in Virginia... and mommie and Blizzie went for a walk at 9:00 PM right here in our neighborhood and saw lots of amazing colors and pretty fireworks, wowie but they think there were plenty of people that were not being responsible and mommie was thinking someone's house might get on fire, eek.

Yesterday we tried to go to that chatroom for the July Gotcha Days and Birthday's but we unable to get in there. We are not sure what the problem was. Maybe it was too crowded with kitties ... I hope everyone had fun with that.

We hope everycat has a very happy + restful day
headbutts, Caesar

What is the greatest thing
"made in China"?

FIREWORKS!

Do you think
they have the most strict quality control

on them
than on anything else
(like catfood ingredients)?
just wondering...

then again...
what sorts of dangerous chemicals are in fireworks, anyway.

Are they even safe?

Happy Tuesday

Princess:
Life is busy here at our domicile.
Blizzie gets up very very early and goes to her volunteer job with the youth orchestra. This is a special orchestra with kids from all over the world! She does not come home until dinner time! Today is her last day. The concert is tonight... and then, she is finished with that. Maybe she will start her little job with the grocery store.
Either way... I just wait for her to come home every day.
I love Blizzie.

Chrystabelle is waiting on her job. She went for an interview for a job she was very interested in last week... so maybe. We are keeping our fingers crossed. She really wants this one.

Two days of very nice breezy weather here, mommie has been working in the gardens... mostly clean up (weeds) Daddie has not been too busy with his job. It is nice that he works at home. I like to help him in his office when I am not waiting for Blizzie.

Caesar is back to his trouble making antics, and gets us tossed out of the room every night now. Then he stands in the middle of the upstairs and cries for mommie, but she has her ear plugs in and can not hear him.

have a happy day everycat!

So... what are your beans plans for the Fourth of July (if you are in the US)?

Every time I close the door on reality
it comes in through the windows.

Mancat Monday

Caesar:
I am back!
I am feeling okay for a 16 year old mancat. Saterday I perked up and I am eating really well. Mommie gave me baby food every day last week so switching back to the K/d food is... well, I like the baby food a lot! I know mommie is sneaking that K/d food back into my bowl.

Last night I got in a huge amount of trubble because I kept wanting to talk to mommie at 2:00 and 3:00 in the morning... and at 4:00 and 4:30... and she finally made me and Prinnie LEAVE the bedroom and she closed the door on ME!! I was devastated. I just had some questions, and I wanted to say hi to her, and touch her on the face and smell her ears.
At 3:00. . . She looked dead, I was worried, and then at 4:00, I was wondering when she was going to get up and feed us. I just wanted to know what time that maybe breakfast might be.. ...

hmmpff.... she wakes me up all the time during the day....

I hope you have a wonderful day!
Thank you for all of your well wishes, yes it has really really helped to have friends supporting us. We love you kitties very very much!

Fuzzy Friday

Here I am, doing some convalescent walking therapy with my little green blankie
(look how long my tail is. impressive huh?)
sorry so blurry...
mommie was so shocked to see me up and around
she grabbed the flashy-box
and started snappin'!

Caesar:
These past few days have been a blur.
meee-ow! I was feeling so crummy on Tuesday and Wednesday. My paws and my whisker humps got all puffy and I was really feeling bad. I barfed a lot and licked and licked and licked my paws.
The vetlady gave me a shot in my butt on Tuesday (oh yeah, the ER vet did too the night before) and gave me a pill that made me soo woozy.
I am not sure... but I think I am getting better.

Can you tell which one is me?
Blizzie lets me hang out on her bed. She has a realllly soft blankie.
btw, the other kitty is Blizzie's stuffed kitty, named.... "kitty"

Mommie was very worried and sad on Wednesday, actually she was so worried... she spent practically the whole day Wednesday sobbing miserably. She thought I was going to die. She did give me a headache, and she made me quite soppy with her tears.

the good news is... well, we used to be shoved and trapped in the paradise room at night with the door shutted closed! so the beans could sleep peacefully instead of us walking around on them while they are in those big cozy nests with all of their soft smelly blankies and their eyes are shut. Mommie used to get really crabby about that. Daddie breathes funny... I always wanted to check him, and mommie... she looks so pretty when she is sleeping I love to touch her face and sniff her ears . . .... Anyway, NOW the paradise room door is wide open at night!! I am keeping my paws crossed that we get to frolic all night now forever. Maybe even snuggle in next to mommie...

Yesterday I snoozed all day and mommie bought me some baby food! Gerber Chicken glop and Beef glop. Wowie those babies are so lucky to eat that. It tasted wunnerfuls.

I hope everyone has a happy safe week-end.
Prinnie and I are going to hide in the paradise room while the loud banging noises and the flashing colors and the BOOMS go on outside... why wait until July 4th when you can blow up stuff any time in Virginia (an activity which usually begins this week!)

Thank you so very very much from Prinnie, and ME... and mommie. I know that mommie is especially comforted to know that your beans are so caring and helpful and that all of the kitties here in Bloggieland are just so wonderful and loving and supportive and encouraging to us. We love you. Really. really.

WORD-FULLL Wednesday

Princess:
Ferst! THE Uppie date on Caesar:
Caesar is taking some pepcid for his tummy, he has had a few doses of benadryl... and he is eating a few nibbles of foods, and here is the important news! -->He is kind of happy
When he came home from the vet yesterday afternoonie, he was tired and still sort of discouraged becuase he barfed the crunchies he ate. Then mommie gave him the pepcid!

We snuggled and rested all day. Then in the evening he got itchy and puffy again and mommie gave him a benadryl which he barfed right out. Mommie picked it out of the barfglop and popped it right back down his throat again. He had an okay night and he is going to get another pepcid this morning.
we hope he does not have to go to the vet again! we love him so so so much.

Okay... so here is the other nooz:
Princess:
Laast Saturday... the whole bean family (mommie daddie Blizzie and Chrystabelle) went to gramma and grampa's house in Merryland. They went there to celebrate mommie's mommie and daddie's
60th Wedding Anniversary.

So, ...we had to stay home and watch over the domicle

Here are some pictures of the happy couple:
this is my grampa and my gramma.

They met at a Christian youth gathering in 1945 after WW2. They got married in 1947. They both lived in the Netherlands (only about ten streets away from eachother, and never knew it!). Now they live in Merryland.

This picture shows my gramma with the carefully selected flower arrangement she got from my mommie's older sister, Joyce. Aren't they pretty. I bet they smelled lovely too!

Here is the cake that our mommie just simply-pimply, easy-peasy went to the store and ordered the baker ladies to create.
We never had a chance to sniff it, but it does look yummy...
click to biggify the sweetness

They had a fun fun day at the grammies They had greek foods that they ordered carry out from the place in Annapolis and then, they came home very late.

Newlyweds become oldyweds
and oldyweds are the reason that families work!

Dearest Blogger kitties and wondermous friends,
mommie says I have to tell all of you that I might not be able to comment or blog for a while. Caesar is really not well and his comfort is most important right now.
Love, Prinnie

Tuesday~back to the vet.

Princess:
Yesterday Caesar was feeling very icky and barfy all day and then later in the day he started getting itchy. Itchy ears, Itchy feets and he was just feeling very very quiet but very uncomfortable. He was so itchy he was chomping on his pawpads. Finally, Blizzie noted that Caesar's feets were unbelievably puffy (something that is very easy to spot on a cornish rexy kitty) and so mommie and Blizzie took Caesar in the prison box to the fancy new TLC emergency vet hospital in Leesburg at 11:00 PM. Caesar got a shot in the butt. Everyone at the vet was loving him and his curly furs and his sweet cuddly personality. They came home at 1:00 AM.

Everyone got up this morning and saw that Caesar is doing a little better. He is not hungry. (he did not eat any foods yesterday at all!) Last night, the ER vet said to give Caesar some red liquid benadryl this morning but mommie thinks he will yak it right up with his sicky tumtum, so they are going to visit our vetlady today.

I want my brother to get better.

I hope everyone has a happy and itch free day.
Please purrrray for Caesar that he gets all better.

EDIT: 10:00 AM Caesar and Blizzie and Mommie are leaving for the vetlady hospital now. He has to spend the day there and be tortured :-( ::::whimpers:::: I want my brother home now!

Learn from yesterday,
live for today,
hope for tomorrow.
