Daddie is coming home today... that's good. I have been the bigmancat in the house all week. Daddie went to Norfolk for a conference thing. I love when he comes home from his travel trips and I get to sniff all of his stuff... the papers and shooz, and dirty clothes.

We are doing okay... still taking those stoopid pills for our teeth (pre and post dental since we have heart murmurs). Prinnie has not had any subq flooids because she just is not going to do that. The vetlady said when it gets really important then they will do it at the vet torture place. Silly bad Prinnie. mommie might try today. keep your paws crossed!

We survived the torturing yesterday and we are so glad to be back home.
we got our teeths cleened by the peeple in the bloo suits. The vetlady gave me a pill to kill my tummy germs and uh... they gave us more bags of water and those green sticks. I do not want to have that. no no. The vetlady gave me a pill that makes me want to poop a lot.
When mommie came and got us, Caesar had to pee really bad, so mommie got us home just in time. then I remembered I had to poop! Wow, what a day. Then we napped forever!

Toes, Teeth and Torture Tuesday

Caesar:

Today we are going to the vetlady to get our teeths cleened. We have to be there by 8:00 am so if you are reading this now, we are probably already there being scared stiff and brutally tortured.
We hope we get to come home fast after that.
Prinnie is going to get a check up too.

Thank you so much for the very helpful ideas about giving Prinnie flooids. She is sooo bad!
Mommie has that bloo piller thing that shoots the pills. I like it. Prinnie works really hard to get the pill back up. She is very very wiggly.

Mancat Monday

Caesar:

I know... I am such a mancat

We hope you had a nice week-end. Here it was rather chilly.
Mommie says it was boiling hot outside, but not in our house. Prinnie and I spent most of the time in our favorite sunny spots.

Well, here is the latest on our medical situation:
I love getting subq flooids. When mommie comes to me with that bag, I lie down near her and she jabs me with that pricky thing and then I purr a lot and she tells me what a wonderful boy I am. Then, she gives me some tigermeatglop with the epakiten supplement. I do not mind the whole thing, and actually, it makes me feel pretty good.
Prinnie is very very crabby. mommie made two attempts to give Prin flooids but Prinnie got very grumpy with mommie and screamed at her! The vetlady told mommie to just try with Prinnie and if it was a struggle to not push it. so.... Prinnie has not had any subq flooids!!!

Also this Saterday, mommie gave us these tiny round white things. She just threw one in my mouth and I was so surprised, I just swallowed it.
Prinnie... she was bad again with these white round things... she spit hers out onto the floor and mommie had to pick it up and put it in her mouth again and Prinnie spit it out again!
s0... mommie mushed the white thing up and added a bit of water and gave it to Prin in a little dropper thing. Prinnie got really mad but she swallowed the white stuff. I bet it tasted bad. She should have just swallowed it whole like I did.

mommie took our blankie away yesterday and put it in the noisy shaking water machine and then in the hot machine, because.... Saterday night we got another white thing and then later Prinnie barfed on the carpet and on our bloo blankie!! because her tummy was sick. So yesterday mommie gave us each a only half of a white thing.

I think we are going to get our teeths cleened on Tuesday. They will not make us go to sleep because we have heart murmur... and we are 16. I also heard mommie tell Blizzie that Prinnie is getting a shot in her butt because she might have tummy germs.

Anyway. We had a nice week-end and mommie made daddie a chocolate cake, and oatmeal cookies with cranberries and white chocolate chips. It smelled really good in the house.

Happy Fuzzzzzy Friday!

Bad news from the vetlady for Princess.
The Prin-ster has renal disease too. She needs daily subQ fluids too... oh my, mommie is not sure she can give fluids to Prin. She does not like being touched... so this is going to be very very interesting.

See, I do not mind getting the fluids as long as it is just me and mommie sitting together being snuggly, so I am cool with the subQ fluids (I even purrr while I am getting the fluids). Prinnie, on the other paw, is not ever interested in snuggling with mommie.
Hoo boy.
The vetlady said mommie should try but if she was not successful she can bring Princess in and the techs will wrestle with her twice a week. Prinnie also has a tummy-bug that was discovered in her bloodworkies and she has to get a shot in her butt next Tuesday when we go in for our teethcleaning. Owie.

Thirzday

Princess:
yesterday was the most horrible day!
for some reason, mommie and Blizzie decided that I needed to accompany Caesar to the vetlady

After they put Caesar and me (still in our prisonbox) in the little room...
there was a misunderstanding I guess, because next thing you know they took ME back into the torture room and took some bloods and I was screaming until I was hoarse. Oooh I was soooo mad! good grief. then they let me be with Caesar again and one at a time they made us stand on a white pad thing. It said Caesar was 10 and I was 8. That made the vetlady happy.
Mommie was very happy because Caesar gained a pownd. His bloods are the same and mommie has to keep giving him the subQ fluids, and me? the vetlady said she would call in four days to tell mommie if I need that horrible pricky treatment.

Anyway, They gave me a sore leg getting my bloods and I had to wear a ban-dade for a while and now I have a huge red mark on my leg. It looks horrid. What a nightmare!

The peeple at the vetplace love us, or so they say... They say we are soft and fluffy and cute. They say that and then they torture us in the same minute.

here is something else.
Mommie actually made an appointment for us to GO BACK next week Tuesday >O_o<
and we have to get our teeth cleaned (while we are awake though). She did not ask us if we wanted this, she just made the appointment!!!!
She brought home two packages of pills! oh no...

Today, I am still pretty much mad at mommie.
Caesar, he is just Mr. Fuzzybrains. He never remembers anything.

here is the latest nooz here on the home front.

Caesar has been naughty for two days about receiving his subQ treatments (like wiggling the needle out, or only getting 25 ml and getting grumpy [never biting though, Caesar and I are sooo gentle always]).
However today... mommie was tired of his naughtyness, and after daddie and Blizzie went to the cook out in the pencilvainya place where Blizzie's friendie lives, she went up stairs and told Caesar "no games" and she gave him his 100 ml all by herself.
Now she is feeling very good about that.
retired nurses can be very persistent... and pushy (Caesar was very co-operative too. I think he knew that mommie meant business)

Other than that huge thing... the beans have been very busy around here.

I am feeling a little better, but really, this whole thing is starting to get to be a bother. Mommie and Blizzie come up to my wonderful paradise room now to do the pinching jello thing. They wait until I am drowzy! Isn't that cheeky?

Frootbattttt Friday

Caesar:
yesterday... mommie came home from the rink.... and then she gave us our afternoonie meat glops. Then, something bad happened... It was the same creepy thing as when we were at the vetlady on Wednesday!
Let me start from the beginning...

I was napping comfortably upstairs in our paradise room... after all that fun and partying yesterday. Thanks for coming over, by the way. What an absolute blast huh? Somecat left their nip behind and we have a green blankie that belongs to somecat...
Anyway... back to the bad thing. Mommie came up stairs and snatched me up from my pleasant dreems and made me come downstairs and sit on Blizzie's lappy. I did not really feel like sitting with her and everything seemed kind of suspicious... Blizzie started brushing me and mommie was fooling with some strings and squirting water around... then she put on her glasses and wrestled with my furs and pricked me!!!! Then... I got chilly... then my left front leg felt kind of funny.
It all happened so fast. I was ready to get out of there and go back up to my room... mommie offered me some stinky goodness and I took a few chomps, then I went upstairs, faaaast.
Blizzie wanted me to snuggle with her, but really... The whole thing was strange.
Mommie was acting all happy too! Blizzie gave mommie a high five !?! I just did not get it.

Sheesh.

Later in the evening... I went looking around and this is what I found.

Just Thursday

Caesar:
I like my new food. I gobble it up. (Prinnie loves it too) It is the Hills KD. The vet lady gave mommie some other samples... so maybe I will like them too.
Mommie is going to give me the "cuddly treatment" this afternoon when she comes back from the rink. She has her last groop lesson with her friends. (she thinks I look very good this morning) They are learning dance moves and mostly footwork.

She sometimes falls on her butt and gets these black and blue spots on her, but she likes to put those big white boots on and fly.


So, Prinnie and I are going to be home alone for a while. Daddie has a meeting (he works at home but goes out for meetings sometimes) Blizzie is going out to lunch with a bunch of girlie friends and Chrystabelle is going to the moovees with her boyfriend.

Come on over and we can play with some of my new toys! It is also very hot and sunny here, lots of sunny patches!!

Wednesday ~ vet day

Princess:
Well, mommie and Blizzie are leaving at 10:30, taking Caesar in the prison box, to the vetlady (poor thing... actually Caesar is much more cooperative than I am. I get very cross going out anywhere) ... so I have a chance here to give a quick up date.

We are so appreciative of the suggestions and encouragement all of you have given. I know mommie feels like she has an army of friends behind her now.
We will keep you posted on Caesar's progress.

I can tell you that yesterday Caesar was really doing a stellar job of fooling mom into thinking that he was just as healthy as ever. He got fed meat glop 5 times yesterday! He also got two big doses of that Lactulose. It sometimes spills on his furs and it is hard to lick off. I tried. Mommie now washes his furs after she gives him his dose. What is that stuff? feels like wax and glue.

Caesar had a good day yesterday.

Mommie used to be an RN, so she is not at all shaky about needles. she actually used to be very very good at drawing blood and starting IV's back in the day. I guess she is just so worried about Caesar and his comfort. Caesar is definitely mommie's boy.

I better run off now... I will try to visit around later and maybe (don't get your hopes up, I may be tending to Caesar) I will give an update... maybe tomorrow. If not, do not despair... soon.

Adding on at 3 PM:
Princess:
Mommie and Blizzie went to the vet lady with Caesar.
They got home one hour later, with a huge bag of stuff, big baggs of water, some plastic ropes, new cans of meatglop and a big bag full of green sticks.... and some medicines in little bottles.
Caesar looked quite happy. He came out of the prison box and got some snacks right away.
Mommie and Blizzie are treating him really nice, calling him "little man" and "brave tiger".
The vetlady said that Caesar was a really good boy.
He likes it! He likes one of the new foods, Hill's KD or something like that. It looks creepy but Caesar likes it :-)

Tuxie Tuesday

I am just going to relax and stay calm today.
Perhaps even muster up some energy to act perky.
Maybe mommie will think I am all better and I won't have to go to the vetlady tomorrow.

True Confessions Monday

True Confessions!

Dragonheart tagged us for the True Confessions meme.
We could write an entire encyclopaedia of naughty things we have done over the past 16 years... but we will try to keep this short.

Prinnie:
I went through a nesting stage when I was about two years old. I stole many things and stored them under Blizzie's bed ... dirty clothing, mostly undies from the laundry basket, bath towels (I dragged them down the hall), a bag of hot dog rolls, "used personal items" from the trash in mommie's bathroom. Mommie never knew about it until one day she went looking under beds for some silly reason....

Caesar: I used to go in to the pantry and chomp open bags of food and eat what ever was hiding inside, cereal, chips, it was all good. That was how I discovered I loved Peperidge Farm Goldiefishies. Then mommie started a rule that the pantry door had to be closed all the time.

Oh wait... there's more. . .

Princess: once I was messing around in our unfinished basement and found a way to walk on top of the insulation that was attached to the wall then I fell in (ooops) and mommie came down stairs and saw a lump moving in the wall. It was me. She had to cut the insulation to get me out.

Caesar: I used to chomp on rolls of toilet paper. Just do a big chop right in the middle. okay maybe a few more chomps.

Princess: When mommie feeds us, I eat really fast so I can help Caesar with his food. I do this every day.

Caesar: I like to chomp on Princess really gently and make her hiss and scream at me. That gets me excited and then I wrestle with her. She screams really loud and runs out of the room. Then I get the warm spot.

Princess: We sleep in our own room with the door closed at night now, but before, I used to like to sit on Blizzie's chest while she was sleeping. She would have dreams that she was suffocating before she would wake up.

Caesar: I do like to get into the drier. Now that we have lived for 16 years, it is just a habit for the beans to never re-run the drier without checking for me. I have never been tumbled, whew.

Princess: I must lick the plates every night after dinner. If I do not have this opportunity... well, things get ugly.

Caesar: when I was a kitten, I used to tear my toys to shreds in a matter of days and leave toy innards all over the place.

Princess: I love tipping my water bowl over. It is fun.
Blizzie gave me the usual cuppie of water in the bathroom this morning (I always get one while mommie showers) and I knocked that over. Water went every where heehee. Some times I try to pick the bowl back up with my teeth to get it up right again.

Caesar: I love to help mommie cook. I help her. Hanging around the kitchen or just being close by, affords me the opportunity to pounce on this duty every day.

Princess: Do not pick me up unless you are Blizzie. Do not pet me unless you are Blizzie.

Caesar: I never cover in the litter box. NEVER. why bother?

Princess: I love to chew on plastic grocery bags, sometimes ANYTHING covered in plastic. So if mommie has something new or important in a plastic bag... she better not leave it out or she will be sorry!

Caesar: mmmMMMmmm plants taste soooo soooo good. I love to nibble and taste. If I do not like it then I just take chomps and throw the bits on the floor. Sometimes if I work realllly hard, I can dump the whole plant before mommie finds out.

mommie can not deal with this . . . .

The vet lady called and told us the results of the tests they did on Caesar last week Wednesday.
Caesar has the following:

Kidney Disease.

He already has been diagnosed with heart murmur a few years ago.
So, now mommie and Caesar and Blizzie are going to the vet lady next Wednesday to learn how to give Caesar fluids with an injection everyday, and give him meds and special foods.

Mommie is freaking out.

her heart is breaking. I wish she would stop crying. It is giving me a headache!

Princess:
WE hope everyone has a great day today.
Caesar is feeling lots better however... I think his butt is still very sore from all of that torture at the vet.
We are having a sunny day and mom is going to the ice-rink to say good-bye to her friend that is moving to Switzerland (and skate)!!
When she comes home we will visit around!
We love you furryfriends.
Caesar: Thanks for the strong purrs. They helped me through a very very humiliating situation.

Wacky Wednesday

Caesar: Prinnie likes to drink out of bowls that are in the sink... even ones that have a bit of dish-soapy water in them. Bleh! I think that is wacky. We hope you have a spiff~doodle day.

Addendum from Prinnie: mommie just got home. She had to take Caesar to the vetplace again because he is sick in his tummy and crying. She had to leave Caesar at the vetplace for further torturing!!! I want my brother back home now!!
Uppie-date on Caesar: The ladyvet called and said that Caesar got the big poops out (he would be so horrified to know that I told you this, but I knew you would want to know). She told mommie to come and get him at 5:30 pm (about an hour from now) The ONLY good news from all of this is that mommie got all of the bathrooms cleaned today staying home waiting for the doctor updates - instead of running around town skating and shopping and playing..... I will keep you posted sweet fuzzy friends ~Prinnie
6:54 pm upster-date: Caesar is home and locked in the room upstairs just incase he has a poop attack. He is kind of stinky and dirty but mommie said she was going to give him a "sponge bath". I am just glad I got my brother home. I missed him. I think I am going to spend the rest of my evening comforting him
