Frootbat Friday

Pierro Happy Friday Kitties

It is so hot in Furrginia, everything outside is boiling hot
but we are cool and comfy in our house - even laying in the sun on my bloo blankie is bonkbonk delightful!
Tomorrow is going to be a 100,000,000ยบ outside and mom said she is going to relax on the couch and let us finally have some time to not only just read your bloggies, but we get to comment!! (oh my have we stooped so low to appreciate the tiniest of efforts lately...)

Miles yeah hothottie-hothot, I will stay in the shade under the table
~and think about stuff... for instance: with this extreme heat, and the stress it is having on our "electrical power grid" what will happen when everybean is plugging in their expensive electric car?
Has anybean thought about that?

mom has to go out into the hots this afternoon for her PT appointment
She is going to park her car in the shade.

Frootbat Friday

Miles: Yippppeeee it is Friday, kitties
I hope you had a very bronkiegood week

Pierro: mom went to the bone doctor and found out she has a squished disc in her lumbar spine. She has been a little crabby about that because she never gets hurtie. She thinks she probably got it from gardening and digging in the soil of Furrginia that is hard as concrete at times --
and NOT from skating and falling on her butt a couple of times hahabonkbonk

we hope you have a cool and comfy day and a
fun week-end full of cuddles and pets

Miles is home and Friday frootbats

Miles:
Hello fellow kitties.
I am home from kitty prison

I am very sorry for breaking the law of flowers.
Mom and dad are not mad at me. In fact, Pierro and I got some new toys!!!

Pierro: Miles and I are very happy to be back at our house with our servants.
It is good to be back home with all of our toys, sunny windows and snuggles

Have a bonkbonkful Friday and a sunny week-end

ps: mom says she is so sorry that she has not been helping us visityour blogs. She has been busy with many things and has very little time to help us. (*sigh*) the sweet ladygirl across the street with the cancer is doing okay, she is very weak and the tumors in her head are sometimes causing pain. Mom feels pretty sad about this and she tries to help a lot over at their house. She has a lot of family there helping out, but mom knows that she appreciates a good friend face now and then. Mom's garden is looking quite nice here are a few pics:

the side of the house garden, yes, the air conditioner is here but this is a lovely garden view for the very sick neighbor

Mancat Monday

Pierro:
greetings everykitty

Miles and I had to go to jail because Miles broke the law about flowers.
so, I had to go and be with him to be brave. It was kind of cool, I got to watch some people do surgery on a doggie and other medical stuff.
and then I got to go home early.

Honestly... I was really not happy about this and I let mom and dad know exactly how I felt when we got in the car... I was in that black prison box and guess what I did next?

I peed. I got my pee all over the car seat and the blankies and moms hand (dad was driving) and boy did I ever stink! haha

Miles is coming home today.
I can't wait to have my brother home. then we can compare stories and scars.

--> they shaved my arm!!!

bonks for a happy day and find a good place to hide tonight.
Mom always puts on moderately loud ballet music on the evening of the 4th of July, we also get to eat junk food. It is kind of a nice party. I am excited for Miles to come home and celebrate junkfoodballetmusic with me.

Sunday morning update:

I just called the hospital. Both boys are doing okay. Neither Miles or Pierro are eating anything... much. They are both still receiving IV fluids. They are having a blood test this morning and if Pierro's blood work comes back good - as it has been, then he can come home this evening. Miles is doing well, and will continue another day of fluids since he did indeed ingest lily parts and we want to insure that his kidneys are protected.
That is it really.
The doc that I spoke with today on the phone confused Pierro with Miles and I had a difficult time getting correct information. basically as true to their character, Pierro is sweet and submissive and Miles is nervous. Miles is so big and brave but he shakes pitifully when he is nervous. He is not hiding. Anyway, it was confusing today on the phone: which boy ate a little bit of grilled salmon and who was "polite" for examination. Don't they keep absolute records of this? Back in dino days when I did a few years of hospital nursing, we recorded every sneeze... Well, if they were in a very bad situation at this point I probably would have gotten upset about this, but I believe they are out of the woods and just staying in a very fancy hotel with supreme room service.

I slept like a log last night. It is so quiet in our house, but I am taking advantage of this situation and have bleached and scrubbed the bathtub haha
I hope everyone has a lovely day. I do believe we are completely "out of the woods" here. I just want my boys home, I do not even want to think of the $$bill. We will adjust and manage though, this is just one of life's bumps in the road - and we always learn from those bumpy things.

Life is a traveling to the edge of knowledge,
then a leap taken.

UPDATE on the hospitalization of Miles and Pierro

Hello and greetings from Rosemary
I just spoke with Dr Leonard at the LifeCentre. She said the blood tests on both boys came back very good, nothing yet to suggest kidney damage.

It was thought earlier that Pierro could come home after this good report today, mostly because 1. it was presumed most likely that he did not eat any of the flower petals and 2. because he becomes anxious and that causes his heart murmur. However, the doc said that both boys are quite comfortable, sitting at the front of their "house" and observing what is going on in the room and engaging with the medical staff. They are taking the IV fluids well, and tolerating the charcoal treatments, So - she suggested Pierro stay another night with them. I was disappointed but I know he is in good hands. I also think that even though the boys are of course in different "rooms" they are right next to each other, so they sense that they are together in this ordeal.
I will not go to Leesburg and visit them as I believe this might cause renewed anxiety for them. The medical staff in the back and also the front desk personnel are very interested in them and because they are cornish rex and quite handsome they are getting a lot of encouragement.
I also think it is a good thing not to go there to see the boys today because that LifeCentre is very busy with all sorts of emergencies and with that there are people that are very distraught and it is a really frightening place to be.
I do not need to be there.
Thank you all of you for your wonderful and encouraging prayers and purrs and hopeful thoughts.
It is very quiet here - I miss my boys terribly
the box fort is quiet, there are no tussles at the satellite office, there are no
crackling chases through the tunnel, Pierro is not laying in the sunny patch by the window and Miles is not looking for excitement in the closets, cabinets, my sewing things, the bathrooms, or taking shoe liners out of shoes.
I am hoping for continued recovery
again, thank you so much

Friday night trip to the emergency room

Pierro and Miles are in the LifeCentre emergency hospital in Leesburg.
Last night as we were preparing for bed after a long busy day, Miles and Pierro were racing around the house. There in the upstairs hall, Miles paused and then barfed up ---- lily flower parts. Yes, how stupid we were, Blizzie received some lovely flowers from her sweet boy. We put the flowers up high on a cabinet in Blizzie's room. She kept her door closed so the boys were never in there besides they never could have gotten up on that cabinet.

well, last night a few of those lily pedals fell off onto the books and college clutter below and Miles got into them... I do not think that Pierro ate any because he does not normally eat plants. (Miles eats everything, because he is orange)

So, as soon as I saw that barfing incident - and identified the contents, hubby and I packed them up in to their respective carriers and whisked them off without delay to the LifeCentre.

They are being treated for poisoning, Pierro might come home today if his bloodwork comes back good. Miles will probably stay until Monday at least since it is certain that he ingested the flower pedals.

Both boys looked okay last night.
Right now we are just being hopeful.
I called CurlieSwirlie Teri at 11:30 pm last night and it is a comfort to have such a brilliant friend. We went to bed at 1:15 to a very quiet empty house.

This morning, hubby called the hospital early, both boys are doing well.
Lilies are highly toxic - there are a lot of other very poisonous things out there, so try to learn what they are via google, there are so many informative sites which I have no brainpower to find right now.

I am not going to think about the worst outcome from this. I can't. I love my boys so much. I could babble on for hours and pages about this pair of polar opposite tiny tigers.

I will keep you updated - sorry this message is so disjointed. I have had very little sleep. Have a very lovely day every one and kitty

Mancat Monday

Miles:
Happy Monday greetings from our main office, kitties
Do you see Pierro peeping at me through the little window on the left?
you can click on this to see him.

This past week-end mom and dad and the girls went to gramma and grampa to celebrate their 64th wedding anniversary.
here is a nice photo taken by our dad, in front of the Greek restaurant they went to eat food and have fun! Oh yeah, that is our mom standing next to her mom. cool huh?

Pierro:
Miles and I stayed home of course, and we were good boys the whole time.
We worked in our box fort,

our main headquarters,
Miles had a few projects and I helped with the details.

we had a relaxing day

Frootbat Friday

Pierro:

Mom always knows where to find me
I always sleep
inside my bonkie bloo blankie
look, my paws are as big as my head...

Miles has a new hiding place and mom cannot find him this morning
she looked all over the house she called Miles, but he just would not tell her where he was!!!

Miles: I do not want mom to find my new snoozing spot on top of the refrigerator and under this bronkie cabinet.

-- besides, I am not sure I really like it enough yet

Miles: Happy Friday everykitty
Pierro and I are having a great week.
It is very hot and sunny here but our house is nice and cool.
I like to be near Pierro all the time.
Sometimes we even cuddle.. but not a lot, but on top of the dryer, it just happens.

Pierro: Well, we play all day,
and we relax now and then to recharge and to look outside at mom in the garden or the birdies taking a bath in the birdbath
bonks and bronks for a happy day and a fun week-end!!
We are planning on it!
