Mancat Monday ~ Caesar

Princess:
Caesar liked to stand up and receive treats from daddy.
He liked to do this all the way into his senior years and had just stopped doing it about one year ago.


Some day soon we will start training Pierro to do the same. Right now, he can not concentrate on one thing longer than about three seconds haha

Our hearts are heavy today. We are still so sad about Miral
I am purring for her family. What a great loss

just a quick update on Pierro and me. Things are going well.
He is a wild silly monkey. He is happy - I am too... pretty much.
Last night he pounced on me while I was walking into mom and dad's and I hissed at him (first hiss ever) because I needed to tell him he was being a bit pesty. He sniffs me a lot and then most of the time he scampers off.
I always meow to him. I think he likes me.
I feel pretty safe napping near him in my comfy bed. Mom is always around or nearby to monitor him. He likes to play thundering herd of elephants
This week-end we have had several meals together in my space in mom and dad's room.
His food smells much better than mine. It is fine to eat together.
Mom is still keeping our meetings limited (an hour or so) and is protecting me, just in case,
So far we have not had any big problems.

Tomorrow is my birthday.
I will try to make a postie
Criz made me a really nice graphic I will put on my blog tomorrow.
I would really just like everyone to come over for a cup of catnip tea and some cookies.
This will be a bittersweet birthday. We are missing our Caesar so much.

Frootbat Friday

Princess:

Finally Froootbat Friday.

Pierro is coming out of Blizzie's room with mom's supervision. He came to my very sunny room (with mom hovering) and looked around for quite a while. I decided I did not feel like watching him after a few minutes so I meowed kindly and vacated the area.... I went to mom and dad's room where I have my nice bed.
Mom said I was being really nice. Yeah. He is pretty cute. very quiet but he did not jump on me so he continues to dwell firmly in my very good graces. I think he likes me too. He is very shy. I am not shy so this will be fine. I will help him. He has the most adorabibble meow. What a puff!

Pierro:

Princess: mom did a silly thing yesterday. (oh meow, I should be telling all of you this on tattle-tail Tuesday) While preparing our foods in separate dishes, she put my vitamins and Cosequin in Pierro's kitten food. As soon as she put the powders in she realized what she did... so she dumped Pierro's kitten foods in with my bland and boring KidneyFunction food, mixed it all up and gave me half. Wow. Yummo. I get the other half later. I love having a little brother!!!
I love having a flaky mom too!
Pierro of course got his kitten food. He is a very good boy. He just better not wrestle with me... or I will give him a whap with my paw!

Whitecat and Wacky Wednesday

Happy Wednesday
Yesterday I was napping in mom and dads room and mom brought Pierro to see me.
I meowed at him three times. I did not hiss.
We touched noses.
Pierro was quiet and eager, but curious.
Then she brought him back to his room.
We need to get him completely over this giardia before we get to share stuff and meet.
so far, I have not shown any signs of giardia.

Mancat Monday ~ Caesar

Princess:
Another Mancat Monday for Caesar my sweet brother.
Caesar was very brave and so trusting.
Mom is always cleaning and vacuuming around here
She never stops!

Caesar was not afraid of the vacuum cleaner.
He actually used to let mommie sometimes vacuum him!!!!
Many times, he would give the vacuum some muzzle rubbies! yes, that is true!

Pierro is getting used to the vacuum cleaner sound.
He has not met the machine face à face however, living in this house.... with mommie cleaning all the time... it won't be long. I think he will grow to love the vacuum just like Caesar!

I will be 17 years old in 10 days!
It was so very nice to see Blizzie this week-end.
She gave me a zillion kisses, she brushed me and sang to me.

Awardies and Poop

I am very pleased and delighted that I received two awardies from
Mickey.

this first one is the make a wish awardie.
I would like to photoshop this awardie but mine is not working
*complete drats* Perhaps I can borrow Christabelle's computer.
I think she has photoshop.
Nevertheless. I would like my wish is to be

All kitties and beans try to live healthy lives.

It is presented to kitties who do a great job protecting their homes and beans from lizards, rodents, any and all invaders. Mickey said "We are going to pass on this award to our friends Miss Peach and Princess because if anycat deserves their own castle, they certainly do!"
I am just so very honored to have this awardie.
I really could not have done such heroics without all of you, my kittie friends.
and I am talking about invaders of the emotional kind. Losing Caesar invaded our hearts with great sadness. Mom thinks I am a heroic kitty too.
Also, I am not crabby about the invasion of Pierropoopyboy.


In other news.
#1. Pierro is doing well.
#2. The vetlady called this Saturday morning to inform momm that Pierro's poop check came back positive for giardia which is comes often in kittens. Oh joy!: She suggested that BOTH of us take this horrible tasting antibiotic for 8 grueling days (even though I have not been messing around with his litter boxie or touching his toys, mom has been switching our blankies) Mom has been using the same litter scoopie for both of our boxes... so, whateverrrrr. The good thing is I get a few licks of kitten foods every time I get that ghastly liquid medicine.

I will keep you posted.

Frootbats

Princess:
Mom left early this morning with Pierro. He was in the prisonbox. He looked very hungry and worried.
Mommie was singing to him, something about going on a fun adventure.
Poor little thing.
jeepers, his ears look like satellite dishes.
They make my ears look minuscule! Well, he doesn't have red veins, so there!
maybe we should have Frootbat Friday and Satellite Dish Saturday....

I am going to have to do something about those whiskers... you know I chewed off all of Caesar's when we were little and his never grew back... much.
It's a fun project.

Mom is going to let me check Pierro's (Blizzie's) room today, just have a sniff around.

Mom might give him a tiny bit to eat at 10:PM He kept licking his spot 13 so mommie has to put some bitter apple on a q-tip and sort of put it around the incision, but not ON the incision.

White Cat and WACKY Pierro Wednesday

Mom has been spending a lot of time with us.
She and dad think it is very important that Pierro and I
get plenty of attention.
we have had very little time to visit bloggies.
So sorry about that.

Pierro will be living in Blizzie's room for at least two weeks.
Maybe next week she will get him in the prison box and put him out in the hall for me to look at him for a minute or two. Also one day I get to sniff around Pierro's room when he is not there.
It is not as if I do not know he is in Blizzie's room. He has a pitifully sweet little meow and he is quite stinky!
I think he eats, poops and plays all day.
Here are some silly pictures. Mommie takes about 80 pictures and throws away 4/5's of them because they are blurry or Pierro is suddenly absent from the picture!!

Lookie! I got my prize for being the cutest prettiest girls (Miral and I) in the Red Carpet Buzz!

Well, yes, I am quite proud to be a winner with Miral. She is a sweet friend.

She is very sick now and I am so worried and sad.

I am giving my strongest purrrs for her!

about the kit-ten boys.

first of all. Mommie never really thought about getting another kitty because she did not want to break my heart. She found this advertisement in the local paper and she just looked at the webbish site they had provided. Then last week, she emailed the breeder guy and asked about the kits. She thought it would be very fun to go with Blizzie and see them. She figured they would be wild, bitey and crazy...
She discovered that they were very sweet well behaved kittens. Here is the big shock... they LOVE having their nails trimmed!!! wha??
So, mommie and Bliz went home and really thought about these two kits. Caesar would have loved these boys, they are so sweet, just like he was. They do not bite or tear up the house. Mom was surprised to see that the breeders house was not in a complete shambles.
Mom called our vetlady this past Monday to ask a lot of questions. Dr. vetlady thinks it will be a good thing for me to have one kitten but possibly two.
So... we are going to try these boys. The breeder said we could give them back in a week or so if it was not working out, the main consideration being that I am sooo olde. Sometimes you find something special when you are not looking for it.
Mom is going to the breeder guy today.

We still miss Caesar greatly, but the huge jarring shock has eased somewhat, sort of. Now it is just a lot of sadness going over the beautiful memories. Again, Caesar's passing was such a shock. We were not expecting it. *sigh* we miss Caesarpuppy
Everything was going so well. ....Caesar was a very happy tiger.
His passing was a rude life change for us. Our home is very different now.

Yesterday mom went to the PetSmart to get some kitten supplies and she almost burst out in tears/crying in the store, but she was brave. Mom kept thinking about how Caesar would have loved these gentle boys. That is how she got through the shopping trip.

We will keep you up to date...
and YES, I am The Princess of the House. My sunny room is still only my room, it is the sunniest and the best. In fact the whole house is mine. The kits will be isolated in Blizzie's room until they have been to the vetlady for a thorough check up, lots of squeezing, pinching, poking and putting things in personal places. They will probably cry a lot. haha They are 6 months so we are also looking at "the big snip" very soon as well.
We will do this very slowly. Blizzie won't be home from college for 6 weeks and if she does come home for a week-end... she can sleep in my wonderful paradise room with me!!

Big question:
Mom and Blizzie went to a webpage of a superb cornish rex breeder that lives here in No. Va and found that he has two cornish rex 6 month old boys.
Mom and Bliz went and actually met the boys this past Saturday. they are very sweet and not aggressive at all (Primus and Pierro).
They do not bite. One (Pierro) fell asleep on mommie's lap even. Do any of you have any ideas/advice (positive and negative) how that would work with Moi? I will be 17 next month. I am in pretty good health but I do move kind of slowly because my back legs have arthritis. Should/could we do this? or would it be a big mistake??
