Frootbat Friday

Miles: We have had so much rain...
I have not seen a birdie in over a week!

Pierro
: yeah and because of the buckets of rain,
there is a leak in the P.F.Z
and we were not allowed to even help clean it up!!

Have a bronk bonkbonk Friday and
a lovely hopefully sunny fun fun week-end.

On September 11, 1983 mom and dad were married, so this Sunday they are celebrating their 28 years of happiness.
On September 11, 2001, our dad had just left the Pentagon after a meeting. He got on a Pentagon bus and traveled off to Arlington right before American Airlines flight 77 hit the Pentagon. That bus stop was destroyed and does not exist anymore.

Mom was very happy that our daddy came home.
Here is the Wikipedia story of that day and photos of the instant the plane hit the Pentagon. It was a sad day. :-(

**Oh here is Princess' account of this day 4 years ago-->here
and it appears that Daisy's mom and dad also have their anniversary on this day as well.
The way to love anything
is to realize that it may be lost.

Oh my gosh... I am SOOOO glad daddy came home. I have another blog bud in NY who had a day off from work that day. Many of her coworkers perished.

Happy Anniversary.

Miles, I love that paw shot. those are some mighty fine looking claws...

Hey Pierro !!! Hey Miles !!!
We are sorry you had so much rain!! We kinda know what that is like ;)
We are getting more sunny days now :)
And a leak??? And Pierro has a PFZ? hahahahahha
That is pretty funny ;) Sorry you did not get to help Pierro. How will they ever fix things without you?
Happy 28 th Anniversary to your Mom & Dad!!!!
Your Dad was indeed a lucky man!!! It appears life had other plans for him :)
We hope they will do something happy and special :)

We looked at Prinnie's post from 2007 and noticed the comments. So many kitties no longer blogging or have gone to the Bridge. This weekend will be one of reflection and remembrance. We will be offering our purrs to all who were affected by the terrorist tragedy.
Your quote then and now is very appropriate, but then, they always are!!!

Happy Anniversary to your mom and dad, too! It is very amazing that they share the same anniversary date.

We are so glad that your dad made it home safely on that 9/11. The date 9/11 will always have a different meaning now.

Rain rain rain, that's the same here ! It's a miracle that my cats still have paws and not flippers !
What a coincidence celebrating your mom's and dad's wedding day on this tragical day ! They probably would never have believed that such a terrible event would happen this day. Your Dad was so lucky !

Happy Anniversary to your mommy and Daddy, Pierro and Miles. May they have many many more and with you sweet boys to love.

That recounting, that of your Daddy having gone to a meeting..and gone away on the Pentagon bus just before that terrible thing happened--and the bus stop having been destroyed right afterward made mama catch her breath right here at the computer while reading. Mama and I are deeply grateful that all is well with you and them and she sends you love and blessings.
