9-11

Princess: Today is a special day.
We remember so many lives that were lost by the evil terrorists.
A dreadful day for many. Today they grieve afresh another year of a senseless loss.

Today is also my mombean and dadbeans 24th wedding anniversary. Wow, that is a long time...
You know what?
Our dadbean was at an important meeting inside the Pentagon on that morning of September 11, 2001. Then he left on a bus only minutes before that plane hit. Daddy told us in the morning that he was going to that important meeting and then he was going to come home early from work because it was a special day for him and mommie. We are very lucky to still have our daddie. He came home that day.

That was a very scary day for every one.

Today... we are just going to think about that. How lucky we are.

Remember that everyone you meet
is afraid of something,
loves something and has lost something.

Happy Anniversary to your mom and dad - 24 years, WoW! Our mom drove passed the Pentagon on her way home that day. She was worried that some of her commuter friends may have been hurt. She was very sad.

Happy anniversary to your Mom and Dad!!

We are glad your Dad is safe. Our Grandma worked across from the White House at the time of 9/11 and she couldn't get home for hours and hours because the Secret Service wouldn't let her get to her car!! And cell phones weren't working. I was the only cat with the Investor at that time. She was in kollig and cried and cried because she couldn't get a hold of her Mom. I rarely snuggle with the Investor, but I did that day. Thanks for telling the story of your dad. We are lucky to have our families.

My female human told me how shocked she was when she heard the very bad news that day. That so many people died.

This happened before I was born but my human remembers it well. She was watching the news on her computer at work when the first headlines came out. It was terrifying to watch. Her whole office stopped work to watch the sad events, the whole of London stopped and most of the world too. We send our love and support.
