*Princess* ~~ April 15, 1991 ~ December 17, 2009

Here is my gorgeous Princess yesterday afternoon.
She was comfortable and purring lightly.
She is a precious flower, so pink and white.
She has always been our beautiful girl
She received so many kisses, and pets, and all of your purrrs and prayers.
God was so good to us.
This is truly the end of a delightfully wonderful era.
For Princess, it is the beginning of peace, and rest, with her brother Caesar.
She is truly in Heaven

Rosemary:
Princess died very comfortably and so lovely and peacefully very early this morning.
18 and a half years of so many, so many beautiful memories.
I have been able to remember fondly so many of them while nursing her this past month.
My heart is broken.
Princess is with her dear brother and playful littermate, Caesar.

I won't be blogging for a long time
Pierro and I will come around and visit blogs
I promise
I love all of you so much. Such great and faithful friends all of you are.
Thank you so much for your friendship, your caring.
I have not been able to visit your blogs for a long time.
This is the end of a long very long wonderous adventure with Caesar and Princess
My heart is hurting.
I only ask, please, for your prayers
Lizzie did not make it home in time
I know she will be crushed
Again, thank you from the bottom of myheart.
All of you are the best most faithful kindred spirits and friends imaginable.

Matthew 11:25-30
Come to me, all you who are weary and burdened,
and I will give you rest.
Take my yoke upon you and learn from me,
for I am gentle and humble in heart,
and you will find rest for your souls.
For my yoke is easy and my burden is light.

For death, Now I know,
is that first breath

Which our souls draw when we enter
Life,
which is of all life center.

~Edwin Arnold

Thank you, most merciful God, for Princess
Thank you for your guidance
and giving me the strength

The Rainbow Bridge

By the edge of a woods, at the foot of a hill,
Is a lush, green meadow where time stands still.
Where the friends of man and woman do run,
When their time on earth is over and done.

For here, between this world and the next,
Is a place where each beloved creature finds rest.
On this golden land, they wait and they play,
Till the Rainbow Bridge they cross over one day.

No more do they suffer, in pain or in sadness,
For here they are whole, their lives filled with gladness.
Their limbs are restored, their health renewed,
Their bodies have healed, with strength imbued.

They romp through the grass, without even a care,
Until one day they start, and sniff at the air.
All ears prick forward, eyes dart front and back,
Then all of a sudden, one breaks from the pack.

For just at that instant, their eyes have met;
Together again, both person and pet.
So they run to each other, these friends from long past,
The time of their parting is over at last.

The sadness they felt while they were apart,
Has turned into joy once more in each heart.
They embrace with a love that will last forever,
And then, side-by-side, they cross over… together.

Dear Rosemary,

I am so sorry to hear that Prinnie has gone to the Rainbow Bridge. She was so loved and will be very much missed. She was blessed to have the love of you and your precious family, and you were all blessed to have her and Caesar in your lives.

As you said, what a glorious adventure to have shared so many years of life with such dear, sweet and precious beings who love unconditionally. We humans all learn so much from our dear four-footed friends, some of life's most important lessons about love and loyalty and friendship and kindness -- and how those things can be so sweet and pure.

My heart is hurting for you, Rosemary, because I know how much you will miss sweet Prinnie and Caesar, and I, with you, will think of them together at the Bridge, reunited and playing, filled with joy to see each other again, but always, too, looking at you and your beloved family with their hearts, as ever, filled with love.

The Ballicai and I are sending worlds of love and hugs and purrs and gentle cuddles to you and Pierro and your family. Please know that we are here for you, we care, and we love you.

And God asked the feline spirit
Are you ready to come home?
Oh, yes, quite so, replied the precious soul
And, as a cat, you know I am most able
To decide anything for myself.

Are you coming then? asked God.
Soon, replied the whiskered angel
But I must come slowly
For my human friends are troubled
For you see, they need me, quite certainly.

But don't they understand? asked God
That you'll never leave them?
That your souls are intertwined. For all eternity?
That nothing is created or destroyed?
It just is....forever and ever and ever.

Eventually they will understand,
Replied the glorious cat
For I will whisper into their hearts
That I am always with them
I just am....forever and ever and ever.

oh Rosemary, Our hearts are aching for you. We will miss your beautiful Princess as well. We are so glad she passed peacefully and comfortably at home with her family.
We are sending comforting hugs, thoughts and purrs to Lizzie. Please let her know that Princess knew Lizzie (and you all!) love her every moment of every day even if she wasn't there at the end. Princess took all that love and all those happy memories with her over the Bridge to meet Caesar and wait until you are all reunited.
We are sending comforting thoughts to Pierro too who will surely miss his big sister.
You're in our thoughts and prayers.

Oh Dearest Rosemary... Words fail me.
I am crying and my own sweet white kitty Billie has just crawled into my lap, purring as if she knows.
I am so so very sorry. I will miss visiting sweet lambie pie Prinnie so much. Something told me all week...
I wish I could hug you.
You were an absolutely wonderful Mommy for Prinnie. She had just the Best care!
Now she is with Caesar and they will visit you in wonderful dreams, healthy and happy.
How blessed we are to be amongst people who understand and hurt right along with us. I will hold you and the memories of your kitties in my heart. I'm so sorry Blizzie couldn't be there, but perhaps her heart has been spared a little bit. Sigh... Again, words fail.
I send you all love and blessings for your gentle souls. Kiss Pierro's little head.
Goodbye my Pretty Prinnie.
Always Friends,
Love,
Lorianna

Rosemary and Blizzie and Pierro and family, I am so very sorry that Princess has gone to the Rainbow Bridge, but glad that it was peaceful. I would have been here sooner, but I have been offline for a while with my own problems. I know how much you loved her and how much you will miss her.

Rosemary,

I am so sad for you and your family. It's been a tough year--Jake and Bathsheba are gone. The elderly kitty of a dear friend of mine passed away the same night as dear Princess.

I also feel for your daughter. My first cat died when I was taking exams my freshman year (at W&M). My parents didn't tell me till I got home because them didn't want to upset me during exam week.

We're so fortunate to share our lives with our furry friends, but it's so hard to lose them.

With much love and sympathy,
Nancy & Emerson
