Mancat Memorial Day Monday

Pierro:
Happy Mancat Monday kitties!
look! I got salmon last night! people salmon, yum yum yummm

I hope you have had a lovely week-end.
My medicine has not arrived yet. It will not be here until Thursday!!
Because of the holiday, they have to mail it on Tuesday... I believe it is coming by donkey from Mew Jersee.
At first mom had a melt down about that. Then she just got over it.
The vetman Dr Hish called and said he was going to give me a two week... 2 weeeeek
supply of the metronidazol, which tastes terrible by the way. I think it tastes like gasoline.
DrHish said it would make my tummy feel better (riiight) and keep it from getting angry.

here is the good news.
Miles and I have been bonking noses and tapping paws and sniffing and walking around in the hall way, and galloping around the house, and jumping and playing like two happy tigers!. Miles is a kitten and he really needs some mancatly guidance. That will come with time. I am very gentle with him. We like each other very much and have had a lot of fun playtimes!

We are best pals. When mom or dad goes upstairs to his room, I go too!
When they close the door I push on the door and meow in a gentle manner... beg!
then we get to play a little together. MissieCurlieSwirlie Teri said that as long as we don't share litterboxes or groom each other we should be okay.
Mom is keeping my paws really clean and the carpet very clean too.

Miles:
I like brother. He likes to play with me.
When I can come out to play, I am learning how the house goes.

Pierro and I play in the hallway upstairs,

then we race downstairs

mom likes to wash me too.
Sometimes I get mad when she cleans my butt and paws!

Pierro:
We hope you have a very nice Memorial Day today.
It is sunny and hot here

Frootbat Friday

Pierro:
yep there are two frootbats in this house now
I like Miles! I have not met him formally... but when mom opens his door to go inside, he tries to run out of there like his room is on fire!

I like to watch him under the door and listen to him.
We eat our foods together on either side of the door sometimes.
****Mom is going to take a big bag of my poops in to the vet and let them play with my poops, just to see if I have any giardia in them, if that comes back perfect, then the next step is trading blankies. Then -- perhaps Miles can come downstairs in the prison box.

Miles:
Get me out of here!!!!

Happy Friday and Happy Week-end bronkbronks

****Poop update :-(
This is Rosemary speaking: yes, it is that disappointing that I have to barge in on Pierro's bloggie to explain such news.
Pierro still has a little bit of giardia (they found only two cysts! this is far less cysts than past examinations). I feel so absolutely terrible for him. He is the most adorable and sweet kitty ever EVER. So, my vet, at my urging, called CurlieSwirlie Teri's vet/employer, Dr. Janice Ellison and got some good information, and they decided together on a plan. As you might know, Dr. Ellison is very familiar with Miles. Miles has been thoroughly examined by this vet since birth and also treated Miles when he and his brothers, Bosco Zeuss and Carlos got that tummy bug last week which delayed the homecoming of three kittens...
here is the latest: Wedgewood Pharmacy is making medicine for Pierro. A new medicine. It is called Ponazuril. He will have to take it for three days, while he is taking this, I will do exactly what I have done over the past few months (my house is taking on a faded look in every nook and crevice, perhaps I should weather and distress my furnishings as well, haha) scrub and scrub and scrub everything everyday over and over.

This makes me sad. We love Pierro. He came from a very bad breeder. There, I said it. I never thought it, I never wanted to believe it because I believe everyone is good and honest.
I was wrong. Still, I never ever regret falling in love with Pierro, finding him (Caesar found him for me) and bringing him into our home. Pierro is a gentle and sweet kitty. When we brought him home to Princess two years ago, he was just such a gentle and mild natured boy. He has never changed even going thorough all of these struggles. He is so lovable!

I am sorry we have not visited blogs. We will try to come and see your lovely blogs I love them, all of you, every one of your blogs. I am so busy. Blizzie is getting better she is in a cast now and using crutches, we have been blessed with purrs and prayers for her surgery and recovery and we are thankful to all of you. taking care of her was a lot of work and I am an olde nurse from dino-days. Funny thing we have been using hubby's deluxe office chair (he works at home) for a wheel chair to whizz her over to the bathroom and also three times I washed her hair at the kitchen sink with her in that office chair, tilted back sitting on two more pillows, trash bags everywhere to catch the splashes... hilarious
I could type up a novel here... but I will let you know that we are going to beat this mean bug and get it out of Pierro and it is going to take time. Sadly, Miles will be confined and I will probably have to bathe him (this actually sounds fun, and I am beginning to think he needs a bath anyway) and Pierro three days straight.
If my hands do not crumble and fall off I will come and visit with Pierro. He misses all of you because every one of you are just the greatest friends and the nicest playmates ever!

It has no survival value;
rather it is one of those things

More Miles and Me Wednesday

Pierro:
Wednesday greetings kitties
the statement of progress here is that I am quite well aware that there is a loud kitten in my old room.
I am not sure what I think about this kitten.

I hissed at him two times when he was near the door.

Mom says we are going to go slow, because she thinks I am a scaredy kitty
I-I-I just think it is good to be mindful of which kitty was here first.
Stuff like that...
What's the hurry, right?

Miles: Hi kitties.
I like my toys and I like my room a lot.

daddy comes and plays with me the most and I like to lick his head
Mom is the boss - I am pretty sure about that.
Dad told mom I was chewing on his socks! Mom says I might be a socks maniac but there is therapy for that... hmmmm socksaholics?

I like camera straps

I am taking notes and hope to start my thesis next week
I get to come downstairs one time a day and play with Blizzie
Oh and, the food is great here too!
Pierro taught me a word: bronkbronk. Yeah I think that is it
I am practicing that every day now
BRONKKKK!!!

Pierro:
okay, greatttt Miles.

Miles Monday

Pierro:
I know all of you are excited about my new brother.
Mom will not let us play together yet... in fact I have not even seen him, but I know he lives in my old kitten room.

Yesterday morning, in the pouring rain, Missie CurlieSwirlieTeri came over to my house with my little kitten brother and his two brothers: Zeus and Carlos. Mom put me in my own room while she was here. I heard a lot of noises down stairs some of it was kind of scary.

Much later, after the front door closed and the house got quiet again, mom let me out of my room. I could not find anything but these papers and toys.

I think three kittens were down stairs playing with my toys. I hope they liked them.

Mom is thrilled to have a CurlieSwirlie kitten. She says Missie Teri is so smart and really nice and wonderful. Not only did we get a new baby from her, we also have a very good friendship!
So, for the next few days I have to go slowly so Miles does not freak out when he sees me.
He has to live in this room most of the time,

but mom and dad will visit him. Lizzie can't because she is stuck downstairs with her hurtie foot, but mom will take Miles out of his room a few times during the day when I feel like napping in my own room.

Miles:

hi kitties. I am over here on the bed. See me?
Wowie. purrrrrr purrrrpurrrpurrrpurrrrpurrrrpurrrpurrrrr

New house, new room new toys purrrrpurrrrpurrr new blankies new smells new everything purrrrpurrrrpurrr

Nothing is the same except my toys from home.
This is pretty interesting.

I need to study all of this very very purrrrpurrrrpurrr carefully
Then I think I will have to write up a detailed report with charts and graphs.
This bed is really cozy.

Pierro: We will post more pictures later this week.
Happy Snappy kitten brother Monday!

Frootbat Friday

Pierro:
Hi kitties.
Blizzie came home from her surgery yesterday and I am helping her
all day and listening all night.
I sniffed her a lot.

when she first got home, mom put her on the couch as you see here.
Then later, dad and mom brought Blizzie's bed down stairs
so, now she is resting very comfy on a real bed with a super nice spongy
mattress and she has her foot up on that big puffy thing.
I have to check her a lot
then I need a break.
being a nurse kitty is a lot of work.
I get really hungry and tired. I just don't want to get too exhausted because I have to be alert and perky for my brother Miles. He is coming to live with me on Sunday.

Happy Frootbat Friday

I am feeling happy today.
I hope you have a happy day too.

bigbonks!
ps: if you don't hear a peep from me on Monday, it might be that mom is too tired
to help me blog. I will try to update all of you as soon as I can.
more bonks!

Miles' room Wednesday

Pierro:
Hi kitties.

today is the day I will show you Miles' room.
It is my old room but mom and I cleaned it really well, and now it is ready for my kitten brother.

He has this new cuppie bed and some safe toys

I think he will feel cozy in this room

the sunshine comes right in this window every morning!!

Here is the outside hall way... exciting huh?
Ooooh look at that railing!

mom gets very mad when I stand on this railing, she calls me "NONO Pierro"
and she shakes the squirty bottle at me.

Mom says she is going to cover this huge nutty lamp with a lot of aluminum foil, so when Miles comes out of his room, he will not be interested in jumping onto that thing.
It does look tempting but I never tried to jump on it.

Anycat have any better idea than foil?

Soon Miles and I can share my room

I like the view from my window too

I hope all of you kitties have a pouncing and bonking fun day.
I have to help mom with a lot of things today to prepare for Blizzie's surgery tomorrow
and for Miles to come to our house on Sunday.

Mancat Monday

Pierro:
Happy Monday
I love relaxing under this pink blankie in my favorite sunny spot in the sun room
Mom always finds me here, and she touches the top of the blankie to find my head
then she starts kissing my head through the blanket, then she gives me scritches through the blanket.

then, she lifts up the blanket to see my cute face and this is what she finds:

She has been kissing and scritching MY BUTT

haha silly mommie

I am hoping next Monday will be Miles Mancat-in-Training Monday
Thank you kitties for purring for Miles and his brothers to get all better from
their virus. All of you are such loyal and wonderful pals!
Mommie, and dad and Blizzie and I are going to take really good care of Miles when he comes to live with us.
Meantime, I am going to hope this is a week of full recovery for all of the kittens that got sick... and that the others don't get sick! Mom says being sick is soooo annoying!

Frootbat Friday

Pierro:
Guess what dear friends?
Please do not be crestfallen
Please do not turn on the waterworks and howl
Please do not go home sad and dejected.

Miles has a tummy ache and he is not feeling so good, so...
everycat and bean has to wait a week.
This is a disappointment but
sunny days are ahead and now we have another exciting week to anticipate
our new orange kitten.
We do not want Miles to come to our house and be a bit sickish and also not have his mommie or brothers or Missie CurlieSwirlie Teri. That would be three scary things and those are big things to a tiny orange kitten.
Just thinking about it makes me feel like crying.

In the meantime, I will continue to work on my mancat big brother skills and
(mom says you have to click to biggify this one)

test out all of the napping areas.

I will check the toys and I can even show you some pictures next week of Miles' room!
How about that? I could not do that if Miles was here!

I could not barge into his little kitten nursery and frighten him with my huge pounding paws.
--so now we have another week to prepare.

I am a mancat. I can deal with this.
Alas, Blizzie's surgery is STILL on for Thursday the 20th at 11:00am sharp meow meow
BonkBonkBonks to all of my greatest furriends
Happy Friday!

Every disappointment
gives you opportunity

to make another appointment.

Wayback Wednesday

Pierro:
here is a sweet picture of Caesar and Princess when mommy just brought them home in 1991. She put them in the downstairs bathroom.
they were only 10 weeks old ~

They lived in there for a couple of days and they got to come out and explore when mom was around to watch them.
This was a nice downstairs bathroom. It had a window that looked out on the backyard where all of the squirrels and birdies played.

Miles is going to be in my old room!
It has two nice windows and a lot of room to romp and play.
The sun shines in there and the birds are in the trees, he will see all of those birdies in the woods.
Mom put a bunch of comforters in there- a huge snuggly pile of them, and a people bed too.
We are thinking that perhaps Miles will get scared and lonely at night, especially the first few nights, so Blizzie or mommy can sleep in there with him.
I know during the day, I will be sitting outside of his room, checking on him... perhaps we can push some toys back and forth under the door!! That is a good bonding game.

I hope you have a bonkie Wednesday.

There is a lot happening over here and I have to help with everything!

I have to tell you that I am very sorry that mom is not helping me visit blogs.
She has been so busy with preparing the house for Miles, and and and Blizzie is home and she has so much stuff, mom is trying to get stuff washed and putting stuffs away and oh yes guess what? Blizzie is having surgery next Thursday! she is having surgery on her left foot and then she will not be able to walk for three weeks!!
So I will have to help mom. I can wear a tiny nurse hat and we will take care of Blizzie.

bonkbonkbonkbonk to all of you for a super sunny funeroofun Wednesday

Mancat Monday

Pierro:
Happy Mancat Monday
Happy Day Happy Day

in 6 days my brother Miles will be here with me.
Missie Curlie Swirlie Teri is coming to my house this Saturday to bring my little brother
I am really afraid of people I never met and strange voices
but Blizzie will be here and momm and dad, so I think it will be okay.

I am excited about having my very own buddy.
Miles and I will be partners-in-silliness ~ less shooting, more romping!
I can't wait to show him all of my special places with cool stuff to step on and sniff.

Bonkie bonks for a fun and sunny Monday
