Owr mom's dear friend Tamela died Friday night after an 8 month battle with cancer.

Oh Rosemary...I am so sad beyond belief for you and the family of your precious friend Tamela. This has been such a dreadful sad weekend in so many ways...
We take great comfort in knowing you love us so much and sent such a precious momento to our aching hearts. The tiny quilty you made for me and the sweet glittery card touched us so deeply. I thank you so much. In these sad times we lean on our faith in knowing the Lord loves us and will keep us in his shelter...

My heartfelt condolences, Rosemary. I actually read your comment on Miss Bee's blog yesterday and learned of your friend's passing and that she's had to leave her 2 little girls behind.

Aww sweeties, so very sorry about your mom's friend. How very sad. Thoughts and prayers are with you and for the friend's family.
I have been wondering how Tamela was doing. God has her home now, we know. And I know too that you are deeply saddened by her passing. You were a strength and a comfort to her in these months and your love and care were a comforting and warm light to her.
The verse you wrote for us, Romans 8:38-39 is just one of many strengthening and loving things we have to hold to in times of deep trouble, Rosemary.

Time softens grief, but never takes it away...it is part of memory. I will always remember the lovely flower garden you kept for your friend to look out on...may you also remember your friend and those flowers and gently smile...

Dear Pierro and Miles, we are so glad you are both there to comfort your Mom. We are very sorry to learn about Tamela. She is at peace and no longer suffering. We are sure her illness was made easier to bear because she got enjoyment from your Mom's lovely garden :)
