Now it is garbage. Mom says it is too dangerous to have in the house...

We have 2 pink cubes (tents) from Target. They hook together with velcro tabs and have ribbons hanging down inside. We love them, but someone (and I'm not saying who) bit a hole in the side of one!

Oh Prinnie, we are sorry to hear that your tent is ruined. :( Merlin broke our tent too - ours was from IKEA, and although it wasn't dangerous, it just wasn't very tent-like anymore.
No Targets here, so no chance to get any cubes, but lots of cats seem to have them and like them. We hope to get another IKEA tent at some point in the future.

We're with DH on the IKEA cat tent. We have a red one. I don't think there's anything sharp or pokey in it. The support bar thing is covered with material. I like to jump on it from the outside and do a Daisy-like machine paw thing on it. It's super fun. We've had it since we were 1.
If you don't have an IKEA by you, Mama says she'd be happy to pick one up and mail it to you.

We have SIX cubes from Target! Two are really cool leopard print. They have all kinds of pretty colors now, even pink. They take a beating, we tussle and flip in them, sometime roll in them across the room like tumbleweeds. They are all still in good shape (aside from a few claw holes) even with Renna chasing us through them! ~Queen Snickers
Oh no! Not your beautiful yellow tent! I am very sorry it got ruint. But I think your mom is right, it is not safe with that stick poking out of it. I have those cubes from Target. They are not as cute as your tent, but they are still fun. And very inexpensive, too!
My human got me a tent from http://www.marleyfund.com/tents.htm and my sister and I love it. We like to sleep in it (it has a nice fluffy pillow) and pounce on each other. It is very sturdy and has no sharp edges. All of the material (pillow case and tent itself) can be washed. They are a bit pricey ($40) but the funds go to feline leukemia research. FYI: my humans have no affiliation with this organization. We have the "pedro" tent with peppers on it.

Ikea tents are great!!!! The Target ones are fun to play in but the Ikea Cat ones are just really nice and roomy and nice to play in or nap in.

I am so sorry that Pierro ruined your tent, Princess. And I am not surprised, kittens............, but mommy is right, the tent wasn't safe anymore. I am sure she finds you a new one and keeps it out of Piero's claws and teeth.

we have two tents that daisymae's mom brought us last year. lucy has claimed them as her exclusive territory.
mom put them in her closet with the openings set up so mom can see in them while she is in bed. lucy can play or doze and mom can watch.
anyway, if the openings were a little bigger, i'd get in them too. however, as a large gentleman cat, i let the young one have her play.
