Mancat and Canmat-in-Braining Monday!

Pierro:
I am the mancat!

This week-end Miles and I helped mom make the famous peach cobbler

gramma made up this recipe way back in the olden days when mom was a wee tot and they had a peach tree in the yard, which yielded basketloads of peaches!

Miles: I am a Canmat-in-Braining and I am learning to be a mancat
Lookie, Me and Pierro are helpers

Here is the recipe.
you can print it out.

If you have trouble with the directions, just email my mom
She is never doing anything anyway, especially while we are napping

Pierro:
Bonks happy Monday
Miles: and BRONKIEBONK too

Habit, if not resisted,
soon becomes necessity.

~St. Augustine

PEACH PIE:
Ingredients:
~1/2 cup white sugar
~1 and 1/2 sticks (so that would be 3/4 cup... as 8 tblsp are 1/2 cup=1 stick) of butter or margarine
~About 2 cups of Self Rising Flour
~1 medium egg
~A whole lot of peaches... 6-8 medium size
~for peaches in the bowl: another half cup sugar, cinnamon and Instant Vanilla Pudding (in it's dry state [don't make the pudding =D])
~a 9x9 square pyrex dish or something similar (2 quart) do not grease it
~Preheat oven to 325 degrees
Preparation:
~cut up the peaches into nice chunks not slices. 1 inch squares, bitesize...
~Put the peaches in a medium size bowl and set aside... this bowl is a little too small.
use a bigger bowl

~In a nice big bowl, mix together the butter and sugar until creamy then add the egg, mix.
~Add flour a little at a time, keep mixing in more until (it feels like playdoh) you can handle it with floured fingers.

~take about 1/5 of the dough off and save on a dry plate. (keep the flour out, you will need it)

~Press the rest of the dough evenly into the 9x9 dish.

~Set aside
~To the bowl of peaches, sprinkle 1/2 cup sugar and two Tablespoons Instant vanilla pudding, then toss gently with a spoon to sort of get them coated.
~Dump the peaches into the dish. Spread them around, if it is too high then use your hands (of course your hands are clean, we’re chefs here...) and gently push the peaches down so they are nice and cozy, especially the corners. If you have way too many and they are falling out... give them to hubby to eat (men never eat enough fruit)... you don't want the peaches falling out of the dish.
~Sprinkle with cinnamon, as much as you like.
~Divide the left over dough into 6 balls, then with flour make some strips, don’t try to get fancy, just kind of roll and mold something, flatten and lay it across the top. Use flour for easier handling. You should be able to get 3 going each way. Don’t bother weaving, no one will notice.

~BAKE for 50 minutes.
Refrigerate leftovers. This pie tastes really good for breakfast... if there is anything left.

Frootbat Friday

Pierro:
Thanks for liking our box fort.
mom said it was easy to make.
She made us leave the room while she made it though because
she used a hot glue gun and a box cutter knife.
She just sort of made a plan with many sizes of boxes
and made it in two sections so she can fit it through the door.
She is going to bring this cool box fort downstairs this week-end, and put our cube and tunnel stuff away for a while.
we will show you more pictures of it. There are a lot of places to hide and climb through!

Laundry, I love laundry. It has to be bonkie clean and warm

Miles: I just like chairs with soft butt cushions
Mom also discovered me pulling dirty clothes out of the washer
Now she keeps the washer shut anytime there are dirty clothes in there
I hope every cat has a bronkful Friday
Pierro and I have to take care of mom. She got bit by a tick two weeks ago and got a big bump on her arm, a stiff neck and creaky fingers
she went to the nurse practitioner yesterday and got some big pills.
We hope they do not make her sick. She hates pills

Pierro:
happy bonkbonk week-end too, dear friends!

Miles: yeah, and bronk!

MancatMovie Monday

Pierro: I am the mancat around here.

I doesn't really matter which kitty was resting and relaxing here first
Miles needs to know I am serious about being in charge.
In this next video,
I had to execute my notably exclusive full twirl hammer.

ooops sorry Miles. That move is one of my favorites.
I have been working on it for .... the past... month, 6-7 weeks or so.

Miles: Pierro is the boss - most of the time.

bonks and BRONKS for a deeelightful Monday

Frootbat Friday

Happy Friday kitties

Happy 4th of July week-end to all of our friends in the USA

we are helping in the kitchen by licking the bowl that had the potato salad in it

(no onions please) yuck!

and we are planning on mom helping us visit your blogs!

Don't forget to put the tv on a happy station or set your radio to soothing music this week-end - just some pleasant sounds to block out the racket

And I'm proud to be an American,
where at least I know I'm free.
And I won't forget the men who died,
who gave that right to me.

Mancat + Miles Monday

Pierro
Hello there kittie friends.
I hope all of you are well and happy and that your week-end was bonkperfect.

It is boiling hot outside and the beans make the house cold
I like to lay in the sun.

feels good

ahhhh relaxing

Miles
Hi kitties. I have been very busy

this house is full of wonderment
a circus of intriguing and sometimes horrifying things

Sometimes it is just good to be calm and ruminative
don't tell anycat, but moms walking shoes scare the heck out of me!

Frooootbat Friday

Pierro:
Happy Friday kitties. I hope you are happy and well

Here at my house everything is going just great.
Blizzie has been sitting in this chair and I like to sit on it too

look at me, I have no legs!

bonkbonk stretching my ears feels really good!

Miles:
I have been a good boy.... really I have!

well sometimes I steal Blizzie's socks.
She gets mad because she cannot catch me yet.
She still walks with the sticks
I also dig in the plants and ... the sugar bowl - oops.
Okay that is all I have to say about that.

Now I need to take a tiny nap.
Pierro and I are going to play later
I hope you have a bonkbronk day

Pierro:

Two cool things!
•Tomorrow is Caesar and Princess' Gotcha Day way back in 1991!

Happy Gotcha Day at the bridge to the two wonderful kitties that came before

They lived a long happy life and got really rickety, olde, sweet and cute.

•Sunday, Miles is 5 months old!
yes yes, I am being gentle with him
I let him win sometimes

so free your dreams.

have a bonkful week-end
