Caesar's Mancat Monday

Death leaves a heartache no one can heal,
love leaves a memory no one can steal.

~originally for Mancat Monday January 21, 2008
Caesar:

Happy Monday Everycat!
check out my curlie furrs

Being a mancat, means taking over the tent so I can do mancat stuff.

For example... spread out and have a purrrfectly wondermous nap
you can click on these pictures to see my hugeness!

Take care of the minutes,
for the hours will take care of themselves.

~Lord Chesterfield

Princess:
Thank you everycat and bean for your love and prayers.
Your sweet and encouraging words have provided hope for healing for us.

Blizziekins did come home for the week-end and it was the greatest thing for mommie.... and me, and Blizzie too.
She needed to come home. (she went back to kollij Sunday PM to take her accounting exam, a class that she hates despite the fact that she will receive an A for the final grade)
Mommie is actually eating again and getting some rest.
Thank you so much for your caring friendship.

If you don't mind... from time to time... we might share a few personal tributes here for our dear Caesar. He is greatly missed. We think it might help us heal and accept this new life we are forced to carry on without him, his headbuts, his happy meows, his butt on fire racing around even with his stiff oldman legs, sleeping on the kitchen table, and just generally getting into everything and ontop of everything. . He was such a playful, affectionate and attentive boykitty. We have many stories that we have remembered this past week, that we would like to share some time.

We found such absolutely beautiful tributes on many of your
bloggies and we copied them and mommie printed a few out, they were so stunningly lovely and thoughtful.
We are comforted by your care.

~ Thursday

When you are sorrowful
look again in your heart,
and you shall see
that in truth
you are weeping for that
which has been your delight.

~Kahlil Gibran
Princess:
We are reading your bloggies. They are delightful and bring us comfort.
We absolutely adore all of you, your care, concern and love.
Thank you.

Rosemary:
We are healing. slowly. or no, maybe not. I am crying and doing really nothing else.

Our home is sooo quiet without our loud gentle loving constantly purring tiger. Caesar was amazing. We called him the love tiger, but really Caesar was something more like a faithful friendly puppy dog.

what happened? We do not know, but I suspect with his failing kidneys and his heart murmur he might have caught a little bug on Saturday that went unnoticed. He was quite happy, and eating and being fairly active all day Saturday as we were home the entire day, however in the evening, he did not come to my bed as usual and say good-night and snuggle. He stayed in his little bed with Prinnie in their paradise room... and he just went so quietly in his sleep.

I am devastated. I lost my little boy.

Princess is very very strong. She is very independent and self assured.
I have made her about 5 cozy beds around the house. The one above is a new one. I made her a cozy nest of blankies on the couch and she jumped over to this chair (see above photo) and gave me this look, "could you move that stuff over here? I want to camp out over here today. Could you hurry up too?"
She is still calling Caesar in the night and we are going to her and comforting her and I slept with her the last two nights. She seemed very pleased to have me near.

All of this is so hard.
Almost too much to bear.
thank you for continued prayers.

Princess: We love you ~ thank you for loving us. We are hoping Blizzie might comehome for the week-end. Daddie could get her from the kollij.

Tuesday update

Princess:

We are overwhelmed with your sincere loving attention and thoughts. Thank you for this. We really need it. Mommie has not been well. She won't eat or sleep.
I cannot find Caesar!?!
Mommie made me a bed with Blizzie's blankets from her bed and put them near mommies bed. I woke up many times throughout the night to go find Caesar and tell him it was time to sleep with me in the dark. I can not find him. mommie and dad got up many times through out the night to help me find him, and then they would pet me and tell me how they loved me so much.

Rosemary:
Yesterday we brought Caesar's still quiet body to our wonderful and very very caring vet. We had planned to have him cremated with their services located in Western Pennsylvania which would take two weeks, but this morning I woke up wrought with worry. I could not imagine Caesar's body rumbling along in a truck over the hills and valleys through Virginia and Maryland and then into Pennsylvania.
We will take Caesar's casket from the vet and bring it to a local Family Pet cremation place here in town. Hubby spoke with them. They seem very caring. I feel this is a much more comforting situation for us and for Caesar's blessed body.
I cannot describe to you the Caesar sized hole in my heart and what it is doing to me.
Suffice to say that my husband has been doing everything, taking care of all of the details. He has put his grief on hold. Caesar and daddy shared a beautiful and special bond being the men in the house.

I can just tell you that after having this beautiful and most generous and gentle tiger that stuck to me like velcro for 17 years... this is the most very most incredible loss for all of us. I am still in a state of utter disbelief!

Please pray for Blizzie in Pennsylvania at college. She is suffering greatly and will come home on the 30th. Then we will take good care of her.

Thank you for for your love. It is an overwhelming comfort.
I love all of you, ...and Princess. . . we will take good care of her.
Thank you for taking care of us.
Your sympathies and condolences and caring, the Mancat Monday and other beautiful tributes are such an unbelievable comfort. I tried to visit all of you. You are such incredible friends to surround us with this. We feel bathed in your love and all of you are oh so loved by me.

Caesar our Tuxie Love Tiger

Princess:
Today Caesar did not wake up.

I slept with him last night...
and then, God sent his sweetest Angel to take him to the rainbow bridge.
Mommie is very sad. she can not stop crying!

The beans were going to go to kollij today to visit Blizzie, but only daddy will go.
He has to sign some special papers for Blizzie.
Mommie will stay home with me.

Frosty and Frootbat Friday

Caesar:
yesterday we got snow in Northern Virginia.
this is not unusual. We do receive a fair amount of snow every winter.

Today we hope the sun comes out... at least for a while

Whitecat Wednesday

Princess:

I love to stand in the shower while the water is warming up for mommie's shower in the evening.
I just stand right at the edge so that I get sprinkled like crazy.
Then after mommie gets in the shower, I wait on the sink for her.

We hope every cat is doing well.
We have not been able to visit much and we will try later this week.
Mommie has been either busy or scatterbrained. She is getting olde now and we believe that perhaps she is developing early onset dementia.

Happy Wednesday Everycaat!
All of you are certainly loved by us!
sorry the pictures disappeared.

Frootbattttt Friday~gramma~and a special awardie from the furry kids

We have just been alerted that Maobert
has not been home since the 9th!
Maobert!

Princess:
We have had a relaxing week, visiting your bloggs, reading all of them, but sorry not commenting so much. we are happy that all of you are doing so well.
you can click on this to biggify
I love napping in my bed with my bloo blankie

Gramma had a nice birthday and mommie made her a cake.

The big surprise is that Blizzie came along to see gramma too (daddie had to go to a meeting at werk, even though he werks at home). Gramma was even happier to see Blizzie.
yes, mommie has summer clothes on.
We are having a strange heatwave here on the east coast.
The temp was 75 on Tuesday!

In the afternoon, mommie had to drive backhome and then mommie and daddie took Blizkin back to the kollij in PeeAy so she can learn accounting with that fat book. No, she does not want to be an accountant (like grampa) she wants to major in International Business and International Relations.

LOOOOK Lookie at this beautiful awardie
we got from Tazo, Titus and Earl Grey!!!
This is what they said about us:
"They're special to us. They always have a kind word to say to everykitty (and even dawgs) and they teach us lots of stuff about being grown up kitties. Plus, we heard that Caesar is very good at Accounting, which can come in handy this time of year. hee hee"

Wow! We are so olde but we are also very very honored that we are looked up to from our very lovely friends here in kitty bloggieland! Thank you very much Furry Friends Tazo, Earl Grey and Titus!

We love so many of you kitties very much. Every day we love coming and reading your creative bloggies and finding out the latest crazy fun activities that you are up to. It brings back many memories of when we were young kitties. Mom says that when we were kittens we were a handful, and Caesar was the naughtiest I am pretty sure.

I get to present this awardie to another kittie and I would like to give this awardie to Kaze, because she reminds me of myself when I was a young girl. Very smart... very intelligent, certainly the most intelligent feline in the house, and always quite busy and alert!
I used to love hunting through the trash and finding excellent and wonnnderfully smelly treasures that mommie recklessly threw away. Kaze is a lot like me, so.... I think she is special!

Happy Week-end.
You are loved by us!

Mancat Monday

Caesar:
Today is Blizzie's last day here.
Prinnie and I are planning to receive lots of Blizzietime before she goes back to kollij for "j-term".
She is only taking one class in January (j-term): Accounting. She has a big heavy book and homework already. She will have this class every day, four hours a day. At the and of January she will take the final exam, and be done with it.
One less class to take for "Spring semester"

Here I am, helping her with the accounting reading and homework.
::sigh::
what would she do without a mancat like me.....

We hope you have a happy sunny day.
It is sunny here and unusually warm.

really. it's actually true
that is what they do! ... just gargle

We are going to have to take a little blogging break. We will read your bloggs but maybe we won't blog so much, perhaps only one or two times a week. Mom has a busy week. she is going to gramma's tomorrow for her 85th birthday! She is going to bake her a cake and bring it!

Cheesy Frootbat Friday

Caesar:
I can recycle.

daddie lets me help him clean up the cottage cheese container so we can put it in the dishwasher.

Then, I have to clean up myself after.

We are hoping mommie will help us do some visiting today after she goes to the peoplefood store and then to the vet to get more bags of subq's for us

Have a happy Snappy Week-end!

Whitecat Wednesday

Princess:
Happy New Year everycat.

Today is going to be a nice sunny day and I am going to enjoy some quality sunny patch time.
Mom is driving to Merruhlind today. Gramma is having cardioversion at the hospital this morning. If all goes well, she will be able to go home an hour or two after the procedure.

We are sure hoping everything goes well.
Gramma is very nervous about this. We hope mom has a safe trip to Merruhlind.
We hope gramma does okay with this scary procedure.
Keep your paws crossed and send some purrrs please.

An awardie from a great friend ~ and Mancat Monday!

Caesar:
HAPPY NEW YEAR's EVE!!
We are planning on staying up allll night to ringie dingie in the NEW YEAR!!
It is going to be a Happy 2008!

This is going to be a great year meeeeowwww!

We apologise for not being around visiting much... we did have several days when we just read your bloggies but did not comment. Sorry. Mommie is still in shock that she has to help plan a wedding... and her baby is getting married. It was only yesterday that she was riding her three wheel bike down the sidewalk!

We are so honored to recieve an awardie from Ruis!!
It is the Life is Heck without Friends awardie!
We are so honored and thrilled to have this awardie.
THANK YOU Ruis!
This is what Ruis said about us:
They are very special friends, because they are soooo sweet, they are also Cornish Rex kitties like me, and Princess looks alot like my half sister Miral!

WE are just sooo very happy that we found Kattenpraat Catwalk! Our grandbeans are dutch and they came over here to the US when our mommie was little, then our granddadbean got a job with the US government and worked in Germany and Brussels and in France. This was great because our mommie got to see her auntiebeans and unclebeans and her grandbeans in Holland. She also had some special friends in Holland when she was a beanager!
Ruis is in Holland too!!

We think this is a very good award! What a true statement huh?
We love all of you friends!
Well, we would like to pass this awardie on to another very special friend that we think is a very good friend and we are always happy when we get a comment from this troop of poosies.
Sammy and Miles are very silly and lovable kitties.
They make us laugh and remind us of the funny playful things we did when we were young poos tigers!

We hope you have a very fun evening and do not let your beans drink and drive!
Or play with your nip toys too much!

Love and purrs.

Many people look forward
to the new year
for a new start
on old habits.

Happy 3rd day of Christmas

Caesar:
Christmas was very nice here.
We had a lot of fun with the papers.

Prinnie found our pressies two weeks ago so we did not have pressies in our stockings, except some chicken Temptations from Santa and two jars of Gerber baby foods that we get to nibble on when we get our flooids.

We hope all of you had a nice Christmas.

Today, our beans are going to a wedding of Chrystabelle's best friend.
They will be gone all day.

OH wowie. Big news! Our biggest girl bean (Chystabelle) and her boyfriend Jason are officially engaged.
This is a picture of them from Christmas day in the evening.
They are holding a pretty thing that gramma made for them.
If you click to biggify you can see the ring on Chrystabelle's left paw.

Mom says she feels very olde now.

We hope you have a very happy day.
You are loved by us.

Mancat Monday and a very special awardie from Stormiekins

Caesar: we hope everyone had a sweeet week-end.
Here, it poured rain all day Saturday and then Sunday it was very cold and windy and sort of sunny.
Today.... I plan on getting some well needed napping.

Wait just a minute!!! Look at this wonderful awardie that Stormie made and gave to us!!!
We are soooo honored.

Stormie has been very sick with Lymphoma this past year and she fought and fought. She had to have treatments, icky ones where she had to stay in a hospital, and then medicines that made her whiskers fall out, and she would have a sick tummy!!
Presently, she is happy and doing well. We are so happy that she is here this year to celebrate Christmas with us!!! We wish her many more Christmas's with good health!
We love Stormiekins! This is what she said about us:
"they are the sweetest and most adorable cats and always leave the most adorable, caring messages for everyone. Plus they are Fighters and put up with having flooids every day."

The Extraordinary Gold Star Award was created by - Storm, The Furry Fighter - and is for Bloggers who have achieved or done something special. The award celebrates beyond what is ordinary or usual.

1) Post the explanation and rules of the award and link back to the blogger who presented you with the award and repeat the reason why you received it.

2) Pass the Award on to two other Bloggers who you fink deserve it and explain why!

We have thought very very hard. It is so difficult to pick two kitties but Prinnie and I wrestled with this decision. Finally we decided on two very special kitties.

1) MaoMao: MaoMao is the very sweetest kitty boy (he is my muzzletwin by the way) He is always very happy and caring. He is very snuggly and purrrs a lot. When he is happy, he even barks! We love that. He is a wonderful kitty.

2) Dragonheart: He is our special Sphinx buddy. He teaches us all about Germany and sphynx kitties. He is soon going to be a big brother. Dragonheart always reads very throughly and carefully and then he leaves a very friendly comment. That makes us happy. He is sooo young and perky, and we are soo olde and lazy haha

We really wanted to pick 100 other kitties as well but this was so very hard, we put all of our favorite kitties in a stocking and then we picked these two great friends :-)

Mom says when she gets back from the rink, I get to help her wrap the pressies.

Be kinder than necessary,

Is Fighting
some kind of battle.

and some do not win. ...
This week-end we learned that a former highschool chum of Blizzie's died.
She lost her battle with a very mean cancer. This sweetie girl died at the tender age of 18.
How tragic :-(

Fashion???... YES!! Fashion Friday!!

Caesar:

I have no words to describe this...

Here I am.

Okay. I think I look pretty cool. klick on the picture and you can see my cool hat too.

Happy Winter

I hope all of you have a wondermous week-end.
