This was a sad week-end.
An artist friend of mom and dad died last Thursday. that is why no Frootbat Friday last week :-(
She had cancer, but her passing was very unexpected.
She was a great artist and she made this lovely picture with pastels, which hangs in my room.
The title of the painting is Caternizing. We have owned it for almost 20 years.
Now it is a treasure.
Mom and dad went to a celebration of her life at a lovely funeral home in Fairfax, Virginia.
Well, it was quite sad. They had a gathering of all of her art work, and mom brought Caternizing to the gathering to share with the others.

Mom is almost finished painting the deck. It needs a second coat on the floor and rails.

It's very hardly imagine that a good friend with long time suddenly leave us, I think that must hurt. At least she won't suffer by cancer's pain anymore, she will paint more at the bridge become the beautiful sky color...
