Hello and greetings from Rosemary
I just spoke with Dr Leonard at the LifeCentre. She said the blood tests on both boys came back very good, nothing yet to suggest kidney damage.
It was thought earlier that Pierro could come home after this good report today, mostly because 1. it was presumed most likely that he did not eat any of the flower petals and 2. because he becomes anxious and that causes his heart murmur. However, the doc said that both boys are quite comfortable, sitting at the front of their "house" and observing what is going on in the room and engaging with the medical staff. They are taking the IV fluids well, and tolerating the charcoal treatments, So - she suggested Pierro stay another night with them. I was disappointed but I know he is in good hands. I also think that even though the boys are of course in different "rooms" they are right next to each other, so they sense that they are together in this ordeal.
I will not go to Leesburg and visit them as I believe this might cause renewed anxiety for them. The medical staff in the back and also the front desk personnel are very interested in them and because they are cornish rex and quite handsome they are getting a lot of encouragement.
I also think it is a good thing not to go there to see the boys today because that LifeCentre is very busy with all sorts of emergencies and with that there are people that are very distraught and it is a really frightening place to be.
I do not need to be there.
Thank you all of you for your wonderful and encouraging prayers and purrs and hopeful thoughts.
It is very quiet here - I miss my boys terribly
the box fort is quiet, there are no tussles at the satellite office, there are no
crackling chases through the tunnel, Pierro is not laying in the sunny patch by the window and Miles is not looking for excitement in the closets, cabinets, my sewing things, the bathrooms, or taking shoe liners out of shoes.
I am hoping for continued recovery
again, thank you so much

Friday night trip to the emergency room
Pierro and Miles are in the LifeCentre emergency hospital in Leesburg.
Last night as we were preparing for bed after a long busy day, Miles and Pierro were racing around the house. There in the upstairs hall, Miles paused and then barfed up ---- lily flower parts. Yes, how stupid we were, Blizzie received some lovely flowers from her sweet boy. We put the flowers up high on a cabinet in Blizzie's room. She kept her door closed so the boys were never in there besides they never could have gotten up on that cabinet.
well, last night a few of those lily pedals fell off onto the books and college clutter below and Miles got into them... I do not think that Pierro ate any because he does not normally eat plants. (Miles eats everything, because he is orange)
So, as soon as I saw that barfing incident - and identified the contents, hubby and I packed them up in to their respective carriers and whisked them off without delay to the LifeCentre.
They are being treated for poisoning, Pierro might come home today if his bloodwork comes back good. Miles will probably stay until Monday at least since it is certain that he ingested the flower pedals.
Both boys looked okay last night.
Right now we are just being hopeful.
I called CurlieSwirlie Teri at 11:30 pm last night and it is a comfort to have such a brilliant friend. We went to bed at 1:15 to a very quiet empty house.
This morning, hubby called the hospital early, both boys are doing well.
Lilies are highly toxic - there are a lot of other very poisonous things out there, so try to learn what they are via google, there are so many informative sites which I have no brainpower to find right now.
I am not going to think about the worst outcome from this. I can't. I love my boys so much. I could babble on for hours and pages about this pair of polar opposite tiny tigers.
I will keep you updated - sorry this message is so disjointed. I have had very little sleep. Have a very lovely day every one and kitty

Mancat Monday
Miles:
Happy Monday greetings from our main office, kitties
Do you see Pierro peeping at me through the little window on the left?
you can click on this to see him.
This past week-end mom and dad and the girls went to gramma and grampa to celebrate their 64th wedding anniversary.
here is a nice photo taken by our dad, in front of the Greek restaurant they went to eat food and have fun! Oh yeah, that is our mom standing next to her mom. cool huh?
Pierro:
Miles and I stayed home of course, and we were good boys the whole time.
We worked in our box fort,
our main headquarters,
Miles had a few projects and I helped with the details.
Bonks for a happy sun-filled week.
