Mancats Monday

Pierro:
Hello kitties!

Thank you for the bonkful wishes for my test. Let me tell you all about my adventure!
Mom got to stay with me the whole time I was there. I was not afraid really. I checked out the exam room, but when I had to go into the darkish room I did not have much of a chance to look around at all. The very nice girl vet tech was really professional, and the heartbeep doctor was very gentle. They laid me down on a table, on my side, then they removed some thing on the table so the doctor could rub a probe thing on my furs to take pictures of my heart from underneath. He took a zillion measurements. He said my heart looked GREAT! there were no signs of thickening of any heart walls and all of my heart parts were working perfectly, --until I got a little nervous and then my left ventricle started pushing too hard, but the doctor said it was just fine and normal in both kitties, and beans too. He also said my blood pressure was perfect and my pulse was slow -- that is because I am a calm kind of kitty... Mom got to hold my paws and talk to me. I just laid there and blinked my eyes and thought about poor Miles having to help daddy with his boring fone meetings while mom and I were having an adventure.
So, too bad mom could not spend that giant pile of $$ on a bag full of fabric, couple of new dresses, a new sewing machine and two months worth of skate passes and other various and sundry items of pleasure.
She got me checked out and I am good!
Right when mom and I got home from the heartbeep doctor, mom let me out of my prison box and then the fone rang and it was MissieCurlieSwirlieTeri.
MissieCurlieSwirlieTeri was out shopping for car parts and she knew we had to be home by then! Mom was soooo happy to give her the good report. Both of them were clucking like hens on the fone.
Meanwhile,
Miles checked the prison box
it reeked of hospital smell

Miles:
We had a fun week-end full of --- well, we slept right through Saturday. It poured rain here all day- I mean ALLLL DAY
Sunday was windy and sunny and Pierro and I watched the pink petals fly in the air.
But we had SUN!!! We played all day!

We hope you have a bronkie bonkbonk Monday
All of you are such great friends.
Mom has been just awful about letting us leave comments, but we have been reading and visiting all of your bloggies on google reader. sorry though that we could not leave a comment.

Pierro:
ps: here is a photo of us: two brave tigers under mom and dad's bed.

The air conditioner broke and Robert the fixer guy was here. wow, that was quite a job protecting mom and dad from any dangers. Oh and guess what? He is coming back on Frootbat Friday to put a whole new mushine in, it is going to cost a squillionbillion $$$.
Miles:
MEOW this is going to be a crazy week--- guess who is coming tomorrow?
The Piano Tooner! He plays really bad, the same song over and over again... We will be under mom and dad's bed a lot this week.... *sigh*bronks*

Frootbat Friday and ECG update below

Pierro:
Well, today is the day I have to go for my heartbeep tests.
Keep those purrs coming, and really bonk them up at 12:00 noon eastern bonkstandard time.

Mom is going to take me to the heartcheck place, and even bring some of my toys and snacks for me. As long as mom can stay with me the whole time, I think I can get through this.

Miles:

I do not get to come along. I wish I could, I would be a big helper for the doctors, and I love my brother so much, I want to beee with him. Dad says I have to stay home and help him. He has two meetings in his office today.

I can't wait for Pierro to come home so we can play!

Bonkbronkie Frootbat Friday to all of our wonderful kitty friends
thanks loads for the bonks and purrs too!

~~great news. (wow, it was $$expensive$$) Pierro's heart is just great.
Pierro saw a great cardiologist and he did an ECG. It was really cool!!!
Pierro does have a murmur but it is not a bad one - it just sort of appears when he is upset such as being at the torture place. He does not need any special attention or treatment. Thank you thank you thank you so much for all of the purrs and prrrayers, they worked!!

Miles: Happy FROOTBAT Friday!!!!

Pierro: Thanks for all of the purrs dear kittypals.

I am truly bonkful.
My heart test is not until next Friday. Mom made the appointment, and she wanted to have the best doctor look at me, and he will be there next week.

Mancat Monday

Miles:

Last week was vet week. Pierro went to the vet on Tuesday and I went on Friday. Mom took us to a new vet that is closer to our house and we saw a nice doctor named Doctor Breezy.
Doctor Breezy gave us our rabbie rooster shots and checked us all over.

Doctor Breezy told mom that Pierro's heart is mumbling,

so he has to get a bunch of really expensive tests like a ekg and an echocardiogram. He has to visit some special heart doctors at a special vet place and get his heart beat checked.

Oh boy, I love my brother so much!

Pierro:
Thanks for telling my whole life story, Miles. MOL.

You are a great little brother.
Mom has not made the appointment yet, but she is going to do that today.
She is worried and sad, but hopefully they will say I am healthy and I have a good heart.

Happy Bonk Bronkie Monday

Monday Mancats

Miles: This week-end was a busy one for mancats.
We are thankful for Monday!! It is going to be a great day!

Pierro: Miles and I had to check everything the past two days

Miles: It is good to check the food supply

and what mom is making with so much noise in the kitchen

Pierro: Where are the warm blankies and towels?

should I help fold these?

Miles: of course we have a meeting on the stairs,
to share gathered information

Frootbat Friday

Miles:
Today... finally sun! I am bronkful!!

Pierro and I got really bored with so much rain - and no sun - the past few days.
We got very wild and naughty
running around the house,
bouncing off of every thing,
knocking big stuff over.

Mom said "no no boys" too many times but she was not angry
We even made daddy laugh a lot.

Pierro: It was fun -- when there was no sun.

Today is a sunny bonkbonk day
Miles and I will be naughty anyway - unless the blue birds distract us.

life will love you back.

Monday Mancats ~ training mom

Pierro:
Good morning kitties
first off,
I must say a little tribute
to my mancat mentor, Mickey.
He was the paradigm for mancats across the earth.
When I was just a little canmat-in-braining,
he was the one I looked up to, the example I tried to follow to mancatdom.

BIG Bonks to you dear friend ~~ Rest in Peace.

Today I want to share with you the training program
we have been working on with mom.
Every day she is learning the proper techniques to
assist us in our grooming and comfort.

Miles:
Mom is learning to help me with my tail

She holds it gently so I can clean it

this way, I know she is viewing
how carefully we take good care of our furs

I am glad she learns quickly
now with a quick sniff...

I can get back to my nap

Pierro:
I have been teaching mom to quietly enter my blooblankie cave
with the softie scrubbie firmly in her hand

Then she can begin rubbing my chin

then a little over my eyes

and finishing up, gently on my head.

Miles:
That is it, kitties.
Take note, this training requires daily guidance
and consistent practice.
Good luck and bronks for a happy day!

Treat everyone with politeness,
even those who are rude to you
- not because they are nice,
but because you are.
